Dougs update from June 10th:
>>>The last thing I found was a "We’ll see, we’ll see…" from Doug so I just pose the question for clarification if Tyler's "Houses Of Healing" will be on the ROTK:CR?>>>
It will. As will, it seems, Sissel’s. Clarification later, if you don’t mind.
Oh and fear not, all of Renée’s work will be represented as well. You won’t lose anything.

Ah, finally! Yes, it will be expensive: an extra CD plus a year's inflation over TTT:CR, but what a set it will be! I can hardly wait!

Whohoo!! I've got it marked down on my calendar already. Now we need someone with good photoshop skills to put all three together, I wouldn't mind having it as a cool background on my desktop! (hint, hint)

We don't have a high-resolution image of the RotK cover yet. So no go on the 3D desktop image.

I'm going to guess that this third installment might cost around. . .oh, I don't know, $99.95.I am perfectly willing to pay that or more to have this! Now that we have the long awaited press release I think time is going to fly by!
Before I know it I'll have bought the ROTK:CR box set and I will soon be demanding to know when I can expect the rarities discs!

Great news, everyone! Doug, have you heard the final mix for the 'end of all things' piece in CR? I'm afraid to find out the choir mixed not that powerful as in the OST, as it was done in the FOTR CR...

Smaragd,emerald,sapphire...will the CR be more special if you all associate to it fancy colours? That's as green as the grass. It's just some CD's after all.And about the price,i don't think it will pass 75$.[Message edited by Beren on 09-13-2007]

The film runs 4 hours and 11 minutes, so we are still getting a score that is 92% as long as the film. FOTR and TT were both around 86%. So we are still getting more music per frame on ROTK than the other 2. I watched the film last week, and there seemed to be more unscored parts than I originally realized, so I am actually surprised that the run time is as long as it is.bram

How this can be more perfect?November 3rd to the Théâtre impérial du Châtelet, where Howard Shore himself will conduct the Orchestre national de France for the LOTR Symphony. And then followed later that week with the release of the ROTK CR!
woohoo!

NOW... wouldn't it be nice if a dvd video of ALL THREE LotR CRs were to appear some day SOON!!!! To see the orchestra musicians was wonderful! One wonders if videos were made of the recording sessions, one does!
And I loved the Smeagol/Gollum with CRs jpg: LotR CR addicts of the world, UNITE!

Thanks for the link, Earl. Though I'm abstaining from RotK music (since September 1st), I couldn't resist (I know, I'm weak
). I actually thought of buying the Galway-CD just to hear the LotR-Suite.quote:

Thanks for the hint! I didn't know about the Symphony in Paris. Of course, now that I know, I'm about to by my ticket, so maybe we'll see each other there

I just bought my ticket for the Symphony in Saarbrücken (Germany).
AND: The Symphony comes back to Austria (March 2008), to 4 different cities - guess who will be there as well
*Sigh* I think, I'll never get enough...53 days...

Ive also got an autograph from Mr. Shore when we were in London. After the concert we were waiting outside the artist entry of the Royal Albert Hall. First stepped out Sissel (wich I hope will be there in Paris, she's amazing!)and then The Man himself. I had my ROTK limited edition with me, so that has now two autographs. Best souvenir ever

I also really really hope that they release an Symphony cd/dvd, specially the Royal Albert Hall performances were amazing.

It's not a really common name, but it's not unheard of either. The German pronunciation is probably just a little different from how it's pronounced in the US and Canada. Here it's like "Kris-tshun." If the German is like "Kris-ti-an," I could see why Shore might temporarily stumble over it.

No it's not. I had to scroll right to hit quote for your post and studies have shown that long text lines are harder to read than shorter ones.Besides, it bugs me.

I find it annoying also, since I have to scroll to the right (maybe it's time to buy a widescreen monitor, ha ha). But we haven't posted enough yet to get to a new page. What we really need is for Doug to arrive and make one of his big long posts....Sidebar: forums that use VBulletin don't have this problem, as it automatically condenses the display of long links so they don't display superlong.
