The theme in the score that plays when we first see the decepticons sounded rediculously familiar to me. Then on the drive home I figured it out! Its the same progression as the bassline to this song called Amazing by Johnette Napolitano. You can hear it on her site and see for yourself. Johnettenapolitano.com.

Sean, is there any way you could post those clips on a website that doesn't use bandwidth? Something like Fileden? I apologize if this request is getting annoying.

Anyways, any efforts would be much appreciated.

I saw Transformers again today. I LOVE it!! Some other good score parts are when Bumblebee is captured by those jerk humans and when Bumblebee turns the giant cube into a small cube. Do you think you could make an mp3 of those parts or more? ;-) I actually like the dialogue and sound effects. I feel like I'm watching the movie. I've listened to All Spark 25 times by now! Yep, I'm dying for this score to be released. My favorite part is when Optimus Prime (in Protoform) climbs out of the swimming pool, and the cue continues as he hides from the little girl's father. That chorus stuff always gets me, and it wonderfully fits the introduction of the greatest non-human hero of all time.

    Michel
P.S. I haven't posted on this site in a year or more. Transformers has brought me back!!

It sure is. The sound quality is rough, I know, so I'd only recommend for people who really, really liked Steve Jablonsky's score.

I was just curious why someone would take a video camera into a movie theater anyway. I think it's one of the dumbest things imaginable. With all those awesome sound effects and visuals and money shots, that all goes right down the crapper when you watch a video taped version...

Sean, you are my favorite person right now for giving us the Allspark mp3! I check every day waiting for news of the score release. I hope it doesn't take too long! What program did you use to edit Allspark? Thanks, Michel

Thanks! HA! I used an old but very cool Macromedia program called SoundEdit 16 Pro (Version 2). I don't think Macromedia makes this program anymore. It's for System 9 on Mac, so my System X eMac has to open up 9 before using it, which can be kind of a pain sometimes, but it's worth it, and the program is pretty comprehensive for sound/music editing. I should probably get with the program and go grab Soundtrack Pro for doing all my personal mixes.

A program I've been using for years (since it was called Cool Edit Pro) is Adobe Audition. Very awesome and simple to use. That's how I made my nice long 60 minute James Horner suite and forgot which music is from which movie... I am pretty sure they all could've been used in the same movie though...

Oh wow! Can you send me that mix over AIM? I did a pretty good one for The Phantom Menace action music so that it flows, unlike the terrible hatched job it got in the film.

I don't know if the track listing is fake, but the cover is. There's no difference between "written" and "composed". Writing = composing.

It's very fake, like Hadrian said, because of the credit on the front and also, the only clip is the same clip you hear everywhere else.

And Sean, sure I'll send you the James Horner mix.

yeah, that cover is fake. optimus will be on the cover or sam. that would only be 44 mins! plus, i don't know which cue would have bumblebee getting captured by sector 7. that was a good cue and i hope it is on the cd. of course, we would hope for a complete bootleg! i'm listening to allspark right now. if you notice, frenzy hacks air force one is the same length as the decepticons mp3, 3:34. i did hear that cue in the movie during that scene. it would be pretty easy to make up those titles and times watching the movie, not that i would take the time to do that! oh, what about that "meet optimus prime!" that isn't on the list, and optimus' speech about saving the humans and "freedom is the right of all sentient beings." hope there is more than that list! michel

I think when the score comes out they'll announce it at least a month before the actual release. I cannot remember a score being released without anyone knowing about it.

Just remember this was the deal with Armageddon, the movie opened in the summer, and the score cd came out autumn.
I suppose TF will be released in the end of September, maybe October.

I wish I had the nerve to put an Autobot logo on the back window. But I'm a single, 30 year old woman. I don't know if that would scare guys off. What do you think? Hehe.

Hey everyone! as you all know the Transformers Score soundtrack is taking a ridiculous amount of time to be produced/released. In order to show our desire for them to release the score, an online petition has been created. Click the link below, or if that doesn't work then you can copy and paste it in the address bar.
    http://www.petitiononline.com/tfmjabcd/petition.html

also, if anyone can put this link on any other blogs or different websites that would be good. The more poeple that have access to this petition, the more who will sign in, and the bigger the impact will be when it is sent to those producing the soundtrack. Thanks again! We'll get this Score Album soon enough!!!

Why bother? I already own the recording sessions to that one, it's pretty easy to find. Besides which, the Spider-Man scores kinda blow to begin with; Young's is the best of the bunch, but will be easily forgotten by the end of year, since there's just too many other, worthy and better scores coming out and that have already come out this year that beat Spider-Man into a pulp of nothingness.
