That's not starting the page. That's imitating the starting of the page. If that was all that mattered, Milli Vanilli would be popular

Much as it pains me to admit it, Probable's right. You can't start the Ninth page any other way now. Still, before it was started, it could have been started in any number of ways. A really good way might have been:
    quote:
Look, we're still on page 8

Which would have really confused me.

I'm afraid our esteemed fishchip has only the ability to re-start the page. Such things can only be truly started once.

I hope I'm the one who picks how page 10 starts. This is too much fun.

My air conditioner has been broken for a week, and the landlord has STILL done nothing to replace it (as he is obliged to).

If this is what the Florida heat feels like in MAY, I don't know how I'm going to survive the summer. I want to change apartments anyway, but financially it's a tough proposition.

Two of the four ceiling fans work -- including, thank God, the one in my bedroom -- but NOT the one over my computer. At least I get to spend most of the week in a reasonably air-conditioned office ...

In further news, there is a spider living in the bathroom that I'm certain is going to grow to the size of a pie plate, but roomie insists we keep it alive because it will help eat the palmetto bug population. Talk about the devil and the deep blue sea. Roomie promises that however big it gets, it has no interest in us as victims, but I'm still all but certain I'm going to wake up some morning with this mammoth multilegged THING perched on my chest, bidding me good morning before plunging its fangs into my throat.

(I found a much smaller leaping spider on the armchair last night, but merely flicked it away, as it was too small to be of the variety that bothers me. And then I thought, "it's too small right now.")

    (Lord, how I suffer )

NP: definitely not BODY HEAT or ARACHNOPHOBIA

No, because it would be a different page 9.

Rocco, I sympathize with your temperature problems, I loathe heat! Computer fans can be used as pretty good desk fans, if you attach a longer power cable.

Regarding the spider, I can live with them when they don't change their positions. I had (still have?) on on the toilet that used to sit in the same corner for weeks, so it's ok as long as I keep my eye on it while in it's vincinity. In the bathroom, I couldn't stand them anywhere though, because if I'm sitting in the bathtube (damn, I don't even have a bathtube ), I couldn't simply leave fastly if the spider moves, at least not without spilling water everywhere.

btw, I'm not normally one to make fun of people for typos or spelling errors, so please don't take this amiss, but that one made me bust a gut. A 'bathtube' sounds like something George Jetson would use.

I maintain, page 9 for this thread has already been started. Any further starts will only be restarts, as a true start is the beginning, and not the second try. Starting something is a one-time deal. After that, only restarts are possible.

And now the word 'start' has lost all meaning. It's starting to sound like 'torte.'

    And now I'm hungry.

    I'll be back...
