Diary of the captain: tears of the sun 98920In www.Comingsoon.net there are a 4 new clips from the movie. The music is like Journey to the line...
AGAIN NO, ZIMMER.Journey to the line is one of your masterpieces but used 4 times is too much.
Used in:
Gladiator(+ streng and honor),hannibal(+ gothic),pearl harbor(+romantic),Black hawk down(+ irish).

Umm, I didn't really hear any traces of Journey To The Line in Hannibal. And Gladiator was barely like it. Now Gladiator and Pearl Harbor have 2 tracks that are pretty much the same. December 7th from Pearl Harbor and Am I Not Merciful from Gladiator.Clayton

The tracklistings and art are up at Varese Sarabande:
http://www.varesesarabande.com/details.asp?pid=302%2D066%2D457%2D2Looks like Zimmer had some "help" on this. Big surprise. At least each track is credited to the actual composer(s) for a change. Why doesn't he just take a "Music composed and supervised" credit?

It´s the funniest back cover I´ve seen in my life. Man, Zimmer is amazing.
Oh, and the most original one....track number 9 (I have no words). What was he smoking while he decided the titles for each track? He had a bad day the day he did it? Did Trevor Rabin appeared in his dreams and confused him? Did he drank too much of that strange juice he was drinking in the recording sessions of Hannibal?
Hmm....too many questions I´d like to know.
To be continued......posted 02-28-2003 05:50 PM PT (US)

At least you can tell who did what so don't whine about that. We all know everyone at MV helps eachother out. It's not news, so why make a big deal about something new when everyone is credited individually? As for the times, they're at the bottom of the page.Clayton

"I ate the whole pie, but my brother ate more than I." Sort of.

It's funny...after 2.5 years the incessant droning and ragging on Zimmer and Media Ventures never seems to die. Here is a thread with nearly half of the posts being smartass comments...give it a rest and contribute something useful. The comments by some folks around here are as over-used and predictable as Zimmer and Media Ventures ever was.As for the score, I will reserve judgement until after I have seen the film. After all, who gives a rip what the track titles are as long as the scores works in the film.
In the past, people couldn't get enough jabs in that Zimmer didn't credit his collaborators. Now that he does you ridicule him for the manner in which he did it.
Maybe there's a reason that he is a world-known composer, and we merely post on a movie music chat page.
Sorry be so scathing, but I don't get to spend as much time here as I used to, and wasting time on this thread, in hopes of find some useful info (without luck) is a little annoying. OK...rant over.
