You so crazy!
But hey, everytime I hear Britney Spears' OOPS I DID IT AGAIN, I can't get THAT outta my head either, so that doesn't necessarily mean it's good!

Well, I'll certainly pick up HEARTBEEPS and probably PROJECT X; I'm not sure about MARIE WARD simply because I've never actually heard of it. I don't think it ever got released in the UK (and neither HEARTBEEPS nor PROJECT X even made it to UK cinemas - straight to video!); what's it like?NP: JURASSIC PARK III (Don Davis)

Well, it's nice that they're lengthy albums. Project X looks like it's probably complete at 70+ min. And Heartbeeps is over 50 min.

Well I've purchased 2 of them: Heartbeeps and Project X. Can't wait for them to be delivered.

I'll probably put in an order tomorrow, because I might add on a few from their back catalogue to fill a few of the many, many, tragically many gaps in the collection. What are Varese's delivery times to the UK like?NP: POWDER (Jerry Goldsmith) just finished. And it's late.

Talk about an anti-climax (in every sense of the word)! Those are the first three titles?! One I've been mulling over for a while and the other two I could care less about since I've never heard them. Hopefully, the future will bring:Back to the Future (complete; why? because I said so!)
Animal House
I.Q.
Mixed Nuts (complete)To name a few...
And am I the only one who thinks that Matthew Broderick looks uber-dorky on the "Project X" cover? This is the guy who played Ferris Bueller?

I still don't understand why anyone would want I.Q. on CD. I am a huge Goldsmith fan and even I realize that it is not a score that needs to be preserved on disc. It's only variations of "Twinkle, twinkle, little star", right? Or am I carzy?

OK, you all know I meant "crazy", and not "carzy", right? Whew, maybe I am losing it!

I highly doubt that Varese will release anything else from Back to the Future since they did a (fantastic) re-recording a couple of years ago.

Hmmm. Marie Ward I already have on LP. Heartbeeps I have on a boot, though it's good to have a clean legit copy of this one out. Another Horner score, gee, just what I've been longing for. Varese will have to do better than this.

BACK TO THE FUTURE re-recording fantastic? Sure, if you like slower tempo's, terrible conducting, shotty performances and across the street recorded sound. I have the boot from the original recordings and I tell ya, there is nothing like the original! One note... I don't think that Varese will release BACK TO THE FUTURE as a Club release since it is so high on everyone's must have lists. I'm sure they could probably sell more then 3000 copies if they made it a regular release. But, I could be wrong. Hell, one of the best scores from last year, ON THE BEACH, sold a lousy 200 copies. So, I guess a good score doesn't necessarily mean good sales. So, maybe they WILL release it as a club release... all that I know is that I'll be first in line to place my order if that does happen.

I'm only really up on those Bernstein scores whose films I've seen repeatedly (Airplane and Ghostbusters come to mind), so I have no idea at all what I could expect from it - it's style, etc., but if I heard something like "Think Young Sherlock Holmes." I'd be on it in a second.

Majestyx gave a pretty good description of Marie Ward in a posting under that seperate topic. I always thought it was ok but I still didn't play it as much as I did other Bernstein.
