Can anyone confirm this?
Arabian Nights-Richard Harvey
track 22 Amin and the Sultan's madness
extreme glitch at 0:07 into the track. As if someone bumped the phonograph player (YES A PHONOGRAPH PLAYER!!) or someone played with an audio plug or something.Man it is horrible.
Need to confirm this before I go back to the store.

The only thing I hear is somewhere between 0:06 and 0:07. But it's not very noticeable. It sounds more like natural noise coming from orchestra members moving on their chairs than a major bump into something.

Foobsie, apparently ALL the original Arabian Nights discs have this flaw. It was an issue way back when it came out... wish I could find the thread for you. There's an e-mail address for JVC you send your address to and they will replacement the disc for free.
Tim, do you still have that information?

hmz.... I am listening to the disc in Surround mode. Apparently that flaw is "enhanced" also.Jeron?
JVC....?
the electronics brand? Will they replace the disc even if I am not in the states?
If they are able to send a (non-flawed) disc to me, then why hasn't Varese replaced all the faulty pressings?NP: ALONG CAME A SPIDER-Jerry Goldsmith **/***** (ow man this is POOR! *crying*, no *weeping*)

Yep, JVC the electronics company. I think they were the distributor. You'll have to e-mail them to find out about overseas replacement. I'm sure it won't be a problem... it is, after all, their responsibility. As far as Varese goes... I have no idea. That's a question for Robert Townson and co.

I was just thinking about posting a thread asking if the bad copies were floating around.
I'm very surprised that they didn't post this CD on there site as a recall or something!Man when I first heard that glich it startled me, its very loud, I don't know how you can say its not noticable Wistiti.
I contacted Varese about it. Soundtracks@VareseSarabande.com
They replied back after 3 days and said it was an error while pressing the disc at JVC.
They gave me an email address at JVC stoxey@jvcdiscusa.com. And I sent them my complaint and address, and they sent me another copy. You give this 3/5 stars Foobsie?
Is it because of the glitch? That score is great!Original Post is Here with full details. http://www.moviemusic.com/mb/Forum1/HTML/002475.html

Thanks TimI contacted Varese Sarabande via E-mail.
Am awaiting their response.
Never knew this was a faulty batch.
Can't believe they don't have quality control or at least listen to the disc they press.
But the again, with a good manufacturing process comes good quality control and/or procedures. (I should know, I am in my last years studying Industrial Design)Actually the score receives 3.5 stars out of a possible 5. I am very strict with rating a score. Trevor Jones' Cleopatra receives 4 stars out of a possible 5. Close encounters of the third kind 5, etc..... (just to give you an overview)

I'm afraid my copy has the same glitch/same cue/same spot. I was going to try to get another copy but now I'll concentrate my efforts elsewhere. Too bad. I was really getting into this one when that one second earthquake sent me reeling from one side of the room to the other.

WARNING TO ANYONE CONSIDERING PURCHASING THIS CD!!!!Varese Sarabande has run out of replacement copies if you purchase a defective copy. As they claim they are discontinuing the CD, anyone who purchases the defective CD from now on will have to live with the defect in track 22. And it seems some of the defective copies are coloured orange as well as white, so that you can't spot a defective copy without listening to it.
