    Not someone, someTHING. "Validation" is not the right term; perhaps "confirmation" is. You may not need confirmation, per se, but getting it can make the love of something obscure like good film music that much more rewarding, or that much more enjoyable.

    I think, HAL, this is as positive and incisive a response as there could be to the question you pose. I know for certain it also explains why I have nothing but contempt for posturing gasbags who come to this website with obviously less than noble motives.
