Married? You had me at hello.
What's interesting about me: Well, first I love movie scores. I guess I should get that out of the way. Around here, that is pretty interesting. Not many people that I know closely carry such a hobby. I'm always the outcast when we go to the music store. They get their Pop/Rock CD's while I pick up something by maybe "James Newton What?" Other than movie scores, I listen to Beck. I think he is very inventive and I like his style. When I'm not searching for a score bootleg, it's more likely a Beck concert bootleg. Other hobbies of mine include collecting DVD's. I make movies with my friends a lot. We've been doing it for about ten years now. A few years ago, I got serious about filmaking. When I get older I want to be a director. My idol isthe first guy in my username, Steven Spielberg. I also write movies from time to time. I also collect original movie posters. I just graduated high school and in August I will "begin" college at Mizzou. That pretty much covers it.
Favorite composers/artists: Well, John Williams is obviously my favorite. I also like Goldsmith, Barry, Elfman, Howard, Morricone, Horner...
Favorite soundtrack(s): My all time favorite is RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. Other favorites include: SUPERMAN, POLTERGEIST, EDWARD SCISSORHANDS, ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE, and THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK. But hey, that's a tough question.
Why I like Movie Music: I like how film music is so diverse. You could listen to one cue in a score and be taken all over the place. Regular songs can just get boring after a while and nothing new may come out for ages. With movie scores, there is always something new. It's fun to memorize every single note. Knowing exactly where in a movie certain music appears is fun. Listening to film music sometimes gives me new ideas to put into a new script.
