Hello my misguided film music friends ( ),

I have a big problem. Actually, it's quite trivial and unimportant. But I need someone to make up my mind for me, as I am incapable of doing it myself.

So, given the choice between Nino Rota's two piano concertos, and two different recordings of the two concertos, which one would you pick?

The first recording is on Chandos.
    The soloist: Massimo Palumbo
    The Orchestra: I Virtuosi Italiani
    The Conductor: Boni(?)

    The second is on EMI.
    The soloist: Georgia Tomassi
    The Orchestra: Filarmonica Della Scala
    The Conductor: Muti

The Chandos is guaranteed to have an amazing sound, as almost all Chandos releases.
But I suspect the EMI will probably sound great too.
I'm not sure how important the orchestral performance will be. This is a piano concerto, after all (piano accompanied by orchestra), not a full blown symphony.

So? Any suggestions? Though I suspect not many are overly familiar with this work, any thoughts on the matter will be helpful and appreciated.
If you are not directly familiar with these two recordings, perhaps you can comment on the performers if you have any prior experience with them.
Or if you have similar works by other composers on both the EMI and Chandos labels, perhaps you may comment on how the two labels treat the same works.

Thanks for any and all comments/suggestions.
