OK, I bought the new two-DVD set of Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and it's awesome! The new transfer is a vast improvement over the old single disc they had out and the sound is very good. My question is: On the back of the case it says there are TWO scene "revisions"; I know this film back to front (at least, I thought I did) and only noticed one scene revision, where Spock is doing the mind-meld on Valaris and there are some dramatic cuts to the faces of the conspirators she's naming; so, where's the other scene that's supposed to be revised? Thanks!

Right before Scotty discovers the missing uniform there's an extra wide shot of him in the mess hall. Watch the movie with Michael Okuda's text commentary...it explains those two revisions as well as other differences in this cut. (Those two scenes were the only ones revised for this specific release, but there are actually several differences between the theatrical version and the home video version you've been watching all these years.)

Thanks James, I'll check it out. I remember when I was a kid reading on the video I had of Star Trek VI that it was extended version, but never saw the film in the theatre. What are the new/extended scenes that were not in the theatre version? The trailer has some unreleased scenes, as well, Scotty in engineering as Enterprise is being shot to pieces yelling "She can't take much more of this!" and some footage of the UFP president and the Klingon chancellor (the daughter) coming through wide doors at Camp Khitomer.

That was the only scene revision i noticed too. I'll have to check out the Scotty revision.

The redux of the mind meld scene was at first odd, but it's grown on me tremendously. It adds a clarity for the first time a viewer and for whatever the reason, reminded me of a moment in Branaugh's Hamlet. So, that's a nice touch

Really good movie and DVD. Trek had a nice little run back then.
