My question concerns the BACK TO THE FUTURE trilogy set. A while back I heard that the original releases had a fault and were to be reissued. I also read that the new ones would have some sort of tell-tale symbol on them to denote that they were the "fixed" reissued ones. I've never seen the symbol on the packaging and have yet to purchase the set. help!

    Thanks in advance!!!

I believe all new sets have a "V2" code on the top right corner. What's bad about this is that most stores put new bar codes over there on the shrink wrap. So...it's a crap shoot. Order from Amazon and you should be okay.

corrected II and III discs have a V2 on them (on the outer rim of disc label). Part I has no new markings as it was always fine.

They replaced my faulty discs with the re-mastered ones without any problems. In fact, as an "international customer", I didn't have to pay for the shipping, and I didn't have to send back the faulty discs either.

Lucky, I had to send in mine. I should have my replacement discs this week, mine shiped on the 23rd.

Man...I've still been meaning to get this. Glad I waited if they are still being filtered out. Will wait just a little bit longer.

I know this may be a little late, but I bought the BTTF Trilogy when it first came out and didn't realize there was a problem with 2 & 3 because I only watched them once and just found out when I read the Star Wars thread. My question is: Do you think if I mailed in my discs of 2 & 3, Universal would send me replacement copies? Thanks.
