And now for some of the best films of the last several years. All time greats:

1. Waterworld-one of the best films of all time. Great story with tremendous suspense.
Logical and easy to follow.

2. Haunting-tremendous script and tremendous acting. The line near the end of the film deserves the academy award "You go straight to hell!!!" yelled the woman to the ghost.

3. Hollow Man-What can I say-infrared nude scenes for the girls. Tree-mendous. What a story.

4. Flintstones-John Goodman in one of the funniest films of all time. Held my attention throughout the film.

5. Starship Troopers-unbelievably realistic battle action with insects and bugs. Some of the best acting you will ever see. Top notch film, A+.

6. Jurassic Park III-so original. And it was so shockingly good.

7. Batman movie with George Clooney-Better than the comic strip.

8. Independence Day-Greatest film of all time. Deserves a hundred Academy Awards.

9. Stargate-I was extremely pleased with the great
storyline. Full of surprises. Fast paced throughtout.

10. Armaggedon-A very accurate depiction of future events. So real.

11. Godzilla-the best remake in history. Superb.

12. Pearl Harbor-love story and then bombs away. Great stuff. Nice computer graphics.

13. Anaconda-Greatest sleepwalking acting ever. Snake was so real. Gold star entertainment.

14. Sphere-The great line "we agree to forget" was outstanding and so logical. Once again Hoffman shows his skill in not showing emotions.

15. Deep Blue Sea-One smart shark. So authentic. A four star rating.

Best, J.

I seem to be the only person on the planet who actually does think "Waterworld" is a good movie with a great score by James Newton Howard

Gae

I actually consider Starship Troopers to be a witty satire.

You forgot another highlight though:

17. Air Force One - "Get off my plane". The president everyone has been waiting for. Should have won an Oscar for best script. The score sucked though.

(But seriously, did you notice that many of the films in the list have truly excellent scores?)

Yes, Marian, you know I like many of the scores. Only speaking of the films themselves. Gae, yes Waterworld is a fantastic score. Listen to it a lot. Great score. Film, well a different story for me. I love many cues in Starship Troopers. I love the Tango Urilla cue and the Drop cue and others. Music is far too good for most of these.

Best, J.
