Friends, I have been really busy with many things since mid-Sept. But I must have been reading all your minds, because I decided to put a question on here.

From this list of really lousy B and triple C films that follows find the one that did not have Peter Graves in the cast:

    1. Killers from Space-fried egg eye aliens bring all their "pets" to attack earth

    2. It Conquered the World-very poor looking "cone" monster attacks and talks to Lee Van Cleef on the radio

    3. Beginning of the End-badly superimposed giant grasshoppers fight the army

    4. Deadly Mantis-William Hopper co-stars and fights the giant insect at the North Pole, monster peek-a-boos at the female lead through a big window

    Bonus questions:

Peter Gunn star Craig Stevens had a small part in one of the above. Which? What part did he play?

In Giant Claw-1957 epic, starring Jeff Morrow, the rubbery bird is hanging on wires and being turned around in front of a white sheet with clouds and stuff projected up onto it. What does the climatic final scene show?

    A. B-25 toy plane being chased by the bird and his claw up in the air as he sinks into the water

    B. bird going berserk when Jeff Morrow shoots an egg in his nest

    C. bird grabs an F-102 toy Dart(plane) instead of what was just shown, an F-86 Starfighter, and then a sonic ray is used to kill it

    D. the bird picks up a toy train and then grabs a car with 6 wild teenagers riding in it, before the sonic weapon does it in.

    Take care. John.

    Hi John,

    Wonderful to see you're back

The answer to the first question (which of these films did not star Peter Graves) is The Deadly Mantis.
I've seen the Giant Claw before.....but I will have to think wisely about this one before answering it...

Welcome back, John. I thought that Timmer was right about that final shot in The Giant Claw (sticking up out the water or something). No?

As a youth, the silly Beginning Of The End actually scared me. I was more respectful towards grasshoppers after seeing that movie. Duh.

Welcome back, John. We missed you.
