In the absense of Mr W, I'll put a trivia question up.

Why would it have been ironic if Oliver Reed had played the main character (not the cat) in a remake of Cat People (not the existing pop video remake with Nats Kinky)?

    Eh? Eh?

Well, maybe because he had already turned into a wolf in "Curse of the Werewolf"?

Nope, not correct chaps! Remember, if Ollie Reed had played the part that Kent Smith played in the old one...

Yeah, but if he had the Simone Simon role, my answer would work . . .

It would indeed Peter, if that were the case. But it's not, so it's not. I'll give you all until tomorrow!

    Don't know Graham

Is this going to be one of those "damn, I knew that all along" type answers?

    So, here's the answer...

The character name for the male lead in the movie was........

    OLIVER REED!

I guess it's been too long since I saw the film Graham as I neither remembered or knew that answer?!

How's about another question to keep John's fire burning

Yeah, that was a bit tricky, Timmer and co. I only knew the answer myself because they mention the character name in a synopsis I read. I don't think it's obvious in the film, as in I don't think the words Oliver and Reed are even mentioned together. Maybe "Hello Ollie" (you're lookin' swell Ollie), or "Good to see you Mr Reed", but nothing like "May I present Oliver Reed?"

Let's wait until John W gets back with a decent question!

The late, greatly-missed Mr. Reed made a 1965 movie called THE BRIGAND OF KANDAHAR. I'd have thought that, given all the activity in that part of the world, SOMEBODY'd have brought it up by now, but I guess it was left up to me...
