A friend of mine ran across some interesting news regarding the upcoming (whenever the date is) release of Star Trek: The Motion Picture on DVD.You can read about it here.
If the information is reliable, it could be a great DVD. Just hope there are tons of extras.

Yeah, that might be true, but Pramount has given Robert Wise and his people carte blanche to do whatever they want (up to a point I guess).So we'll have to see.

We actually had a fairly good insight into the SE when a bunch of us from the Home Theatre Forum went to Paramount last month and chatted with Martin Blythe...it's going to be an impressive package, and should surprise many in terms of content with it being a Paramount disc and all. They seen very proud of the release.Dan (UK)
