    It might also be a good idea to list the format as some us have collections in older formats. It might be cool to see whats out there.

    LD = Laserdisc
    BETA = Beta (What else)
    VHS = VHS (See Above)
    8mm = 8mm (I bet you saw that coming)
    DVD = DVD (Duh!!)

    Hope you are having a great Fourth. Andrew, I have a few of the same titles and you have several that are really good. I have two basic video collections-documentaries and regular feature films. Mine covers old and classic films. I concentrate mostly on the old '30s classics mostly scored by Newman, but I have several recent ones mixed in also. Any particular film that strikes me as excellent. Although, my collections are small-around 15 docs and 45 films they include many of the classics:

    Young Mr. Lincoln
    Our Daily Bread
    Arrowsmith
    Westerner
    Come and Get It
    etc.

    newer films I have include several scored by Goldsmith

    Seven Days in May
    Flint films
    Coma
    and several others

    plus other films of interest off HBO like
    Roswell
    SuperGun
    Light in the Jungle etc.

    Take care, John. Gettysburg, Wyatt Earp and Longest Day are three of my favorites off your list.

    Our video collection has been piling up over a course of about 15 years, while the DVDs have been growing since about Christmas 98.

    Kevin, as in all my collections I am a bargain hunter and thrifty. My 1300 LPs and 500 CDs are mostly bargains and clearances. The LPs were collected over many years. The videos include many very cheaply from e-bay auctions 3-7 dollars each. It is not as expensive as you think to get a lot of good films. Best, John.

    My VHS collection is unsorted, I'm lucky if I find the movie that I'm looking for, so I'll only list my small DVD collection here, which I started about 2 months ago:

    • Alien Legacy Set (All 4 movies)
    • Dead Again (arrived yesterday, I'll watch it today)
    • Dragonheart
    • Fight Club
    • The Great Train Robbery
    • Hook
    • Mary Shelley's Frankenstein
    • The Matrix
    • Much Ado About Nothing

    Preordered are Henry V (which I've never seen) and Jaws.

    NP: Romeo & Juliet (Prokofiev)
