I just got back from seeing this movie and I must say that Jerry Bruckheimer has done a great job producing yet another great movie. This movie was everything that I hoped it would be and more. I am going to see it again soon. Great movie! I want to know you guys/girls think.

I share my sentiments with Bogeyman. A Bruckheimer production that was everything I had expected, and then some. The movie was slow at the times it needed to be slow, and Nicolas Cage's character was really developed (a sarifice for other characters' personalities, but respectable under time constraints seeing how the cast was quite large). As for the times that it needed to be fast, oh it was FAST. I loved the whole obsession with "Eleanor" and that gave the movie a slight human touch, as well as the first scenes with Memphis and Kip where I really felt for Memphis as a decent human being and a great brother.
As for the other characters, the two guys Donny (?), the driving instructor and Sphinx, the typical homicidal psycho present in all Bruckheimer movies these days, really helped to diversify the personalities of the 60 Seconds Gang.
There was a lack action scenes in the beginning, but the second half made up for much of it as the Gang got to work. The Selby 600 chase was well done. It was intense and gave me the just the adrenaline rush I needed to drive home after watching the movie (12:30am in the morning)....
The story itself was simple, and that was a good thing. They kept things simple so nothing went astray or haywire, and emphasized more on the thrill factor of carjacking and the rush each character got from stealing cars and driving their prizes.
Essentially, my thirst for high-speed/termial velocity excitement was quenched....
P.S. I originally had a chance to watch them film some of the scenes in downtown LA because many scenes were shot right next to our store, but I had missed out because I was out running errands or something, I can't remember. I really regret it.

Just got back from seeing 60 Seconds. For the most part, it was enjoyable. The final chase was kind of a disappointment (I was expecting more car stunts, but it was mainly just fancy driving). The jump on the bridge looked kinda corny, and looked like he was jumping down the entire length of the bridge. That could've been done better. Angelina Jolie was in serious need of a talented hair-stylist, and I didn't fully believe the "relationship" between her and Cage. Perhaps they needed someone better for the part. And much of the cast was pretty wasted, and the first half needed a little bit for "umph" to it. The song over the opening titles was really annoying, but I liked Rabin's music (especially during the final chase), and Cage was good, as usual. Though it does have a few small problems, I liked it, and will probably pick up the DVD as soon as it comes out.

Forgot to mention: during the big chase, when they reach the shipyard, the most amazing thing was when the large tank fell, the valve was busted off, and the thing went careening(sp?) around the dock, bouncing off of buildings and slamming into cars and trucks. I've never seen anything like that in a film, and what I liked about it was that it wasn't used just once. I came back a few more times as the pressure continued to escape, blowing the tank all over the place. Great addition to the chase!
