Seeing as how we all like movies as well, I thought I'd ask what posters (if any) you guys, and gals, have up on your walls.

I've got: The Rock, Face/Off, The Shadow, two Jennifer Love Hewitts, and Shania Twain. (Anybody know where I can find a Sandra Bullock poster?)

(Course, I have another dozen or so posters that I got while working at Blockbuster, but I'm currently all out of room).

So what posters do you have up?

Because my wife & I are both commercial illustrators as well as movie buffs, we have framed one-sheets of our favorite movie posters all over the house:

    "The Natural"
    "Hamlet" (Gibson/Close)
    "Silverado" (wonderful Bob Peak!)
"Raiders Of The Lost Ark" (both the original & re-release Amsel versions)
"Star Wars" (The Drew re-release version)
"Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade"
"Star Trek: The Wrath Of Khan" (Peak version)
"Star Trek: The Search For Spock" (also Peak)

    PLUS:

In my office I have the Bob Peak poster of Jerry Goldsmith that came along with the "Suites & Themes" CD. The idiots FOLDED it!!! GRRRRR! However, I dry-mounted it, so the creases are rather well-flattened. It looks great.

    I have:

The Lost World: Jurassic Park (teaser)
    The Siege
The Fifth Element (full release, very cool)
    Lost in Space
    The Mummy
    The General's Daughter
    Scream 3 (teaser)
    Dogma
The X-Files: Fight The Future (version D, full version)
    Saving Private Ryan
Sleepy Hollow (teaser, the BETTER poster)
    Gone in 60 Seconds

I have a few more rolled up somewhere and I can't rememebr what they are. I also have "Ep I" all rolled up and kept in a nice case. That I am getting framed along with the other "Ep 2 and 3" ones that I plan to get.

As for "Tarzan" my friend said that he would get it for me but when we went to pick it up it was gone! Needless to say I was mad.

LEGEND OF THE 8-TOMBED HELL (Japanese, 1960, some people call it the first-ever splatter film. Original title is simply HELL, so I'm guessing this is a reissue poster, but the weirdest thing about it is, it doesn't even have the studio's name on it. It's unmistakably the same picture, though.)

I am proud to own a quite beautiful STAR WARS poster that was enclosed with the original 2-LP soundtrack in 1977. I think it better than any of the subsequent art (some of which is also great) -- but it's also better to my mind than any of the ACTUAL posters for A NEW HOPE. That's just me ...

All my movie posters are reprints, because they're cheaper and look like the originals to me:

    In my room in Rez:

    Saving Private Ryan
    The Thin Red Line
    Tomorrow Never Dies (European version)

    Non movie:
    Britney Spears
    Limp Bizkit "Significant Other" cover
    Top ten Tallest Mountains
    Procrastinator's Creed

    Back home:
    Replacement Killers
    Peacemaker and Jackal magazine ads
    Armageddon promo "foldout" poster

I'll be adding posters of my favourite band Metallica, in a few weeks....

OK, so it isn't really a movie poster, but here in my dorm room I have a poster of the BMW Z8 (the one in the latest Bond film)... not the best looking BMW in my opinion, but it sure beats the bare walls

Somewhere on these walls are composer-signed posters for Air Force One, Contact, others. Anyone interested in buying them off me? They are nicely framed... I don't know how on earth they can be mailed, but I guess it's possible.

Hey, Chris. Did you know that Matthew Peak (Bob's son) is planning to sell off a lot of the originals of the posters you own? That was the last thing I heard, he might have sold them already. Some going for $10,000+ ! Perhaps we can check mjpeak's website for more info.... www.mjpeak.com ?

I got Originals of Tank Girl, Pulp Fiction, Braveheart, and reprints of Episode 1, Star Wars "Style A" and a Empire Strikes Back promo poster. But here is my pride and joy:

It's a Star Wars Trilogy poster promoting the very very first widescreen box set (the one with the hologram cover and the book in it). This poster is 27X40 and features original movie poster artwork from all three movies, and simply says "Star Wars Trilogy" over the top. I paid $45 and last time I checked about 5 years ago it went up to around $65. Currently I have it custom framed, and the frame itself cost $70!. So the over-all price value of the thing is like $130! Not bad if I do say so myself. God knows how much its worth now with the release of Episode 1 on VHS... It prolly skyrocketed up to the $400 price range.

I just painted my room, so consequently don't have any posters up. Actually, I didn't have any movie posters on the walls, just a few rock groups (Rush, Styx, etc.)

I did have the cut-away poster of the USS Enterprise that they gave away at the premiere of Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

When I worked in the video store, I got my hands on quite a few posters, which are all rolled up in cardboard tubes in my closet.

I probably won't put any posters up, as I've amassed quite a few of my own photos I've taken over the years, and I will put them up. Sort of my own private gallery exhibition.

I don't really collect posters, and so my wall contains not one. But I do have a few packed away, either in my garage or bedroom closet.

A couple of THE LOST WORLD supported by cardboard, still wrapped in plastic. One a credits poster, the other featuring two glow-in-the-dark T-Rexes; the little one with one parent...

An NHL team helmet poster from at least five years ago, Western and Eastern Conferences...

A couple of STAR WARS posters, one of the first film (or fourth, whichever way you look at it), and one I picked up for free at Tower Records back when the Special Edition CDs were released in early 1997, commemorating Williams' three scores; it shows all three album covers and says "Three Reasons Why They Make Stereos."

And one with the Denver Broncos cheerleaders from the 1998-99 season (I think that's the correct year; might be from 1997-98; in any case, it's from one of their Back-to-Back campaigns-THE BRONCOS ARE GREAT!) with about six of their signatures. (I used to have a very nice poster of John Elway, but being very young at the time, I didn't treat it with appropriate care, and unfortunately, I no longer have it.)

    Again Dantoris--great topic!

Well, I've got a whole house with nothing but white drywall so it's covered with posters.

    Here goes:

    Originals:

Bonjour Tristesse (a poster of the same Saul Bass design that is on the LP cover)
    Doctor Zhivago
    Junior Bonner (40x20)
    Hatari! (3 sheet)
    Rio Lobo (3 sheet)
A Time to Love and A Time to Die (insert)
    Chungking Express (French subway size)
    The Naked Kiss
    various Coca-Cola advertisements
various Anime and Hong Kong film posters

    Reprints:

    Jules et Jim
    A Bout de Souffle
    The Testament of Orpheus
    Modern Times (lobby)
    Dangerous (lobby)
2 Roger Broders Art Deco travel posters

I have more items which come and go, but these are permanent.

I used to have pretty much every square inch of my room filled with posters. However an few years ago, I removed them all, so I could paint the room. Sheesh, after all that, my room looked like an block of Swiss cheese.

As of now though, I have one framed poster on my wall, it is of the Japanese Anime series Fatal Fury.

I love poster artwork. However that is why I collect artbooks. It makes it an lot easier to collect it, and does not mess up the walls.

Mars Attacks! (the one-sheet with the heads)
Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas

Along my wall, next to the bed

    On my closet door
    Jeffrey
    (just kidding)

HRocco - I'd be even more obsessed with the Ford Mustang if I had one with my real obsession in the passenger seat.

And does anybody else here have the Predator poster? Not for one of the movies. It's off the Predator itself, with certain features of the suit and weapons pointed out and shown in detailed close-up boxes, with descriptions. No one else I know has even heard of it.

My pride and joy of the posters up on my wall would have to be my framed and dry mounted original US theatrical one sheet's of 'The Matrix', and 'The Phantom Menace'.

Also on my wall resides an Exorcist 1998 UK theatrical re-release one sheet, a Cartman "beefcake" poster, a DTS poster, and a poster for the 1998 tour of UK comic Steve Coogan.

I have small prints of the original posters to Casablanca, Gojira, Frobidden Planet, Citizen Cane and Rear Window also on my walls.

On my bedroom door is a Homer Simpson "d'oh" poster and just outside my room is a framed and dry mounted original theatrical teaser poster for 'The Phantom Menace.'

DSB poster (DSB = Denmark's Government run railroad)

    WOW...
All your guys' posters are great! Sheesh...I feel so dumb now. Hehe...I don't wanna tell mine anymore. But seriously...all those movie posters you guys have and autographed ones...sheesh!! I'm jealous now...but it's ok. My poster's aren't really movie-related but here it goes anyway:

James Dean (Hopefully 2 more on the way...)
    Audrey Hepburn
3 Mia Hamm (one is just a pull-out from a magazine)
