I went through a big search for this soundtrack a long time ago and came across nothing. It's a real shame, the music is so excellent.

The music was available through Full Moon Records at one time and is in their 2000 Mechandise catalog....not sure if it's still available.

not sure how to describe it, it's beautiful. It has a lot of piano in it (then again, the main character is a piano player, and the vampire who is after her is a music-lover) and there is a bit of chorals too. You can rent the film at Hollywood Video and Blockbuster. If anything, the music is worth renting the movie for, but the movie itself is excellent. David Gunn who plays a vampire much like Brad Pitt in Interview With The Vampire is very good at his role.btw, thank you Dylan for the info, I'll check it out at their site.

It's a synthesized score (the movie didn't have the budget to record with an orchestra), but it's so haunting and beautiful that it really doesn't make a difference. As Anya said, much of the score is based on piano, and those are the portions that really shine. The majority of the score was composed by Richard Kosinski, but Tim Isle and David Arkenstone both contributed some music as well.
If you feel like it, you can e-mail me (captecco@aol.com) for a couple of short, very low-quality sound clips I took from the movie a while back.
Kosinski has an official web site (no clips, unfortunately) at www.kozz.com .
And Dylan, I thank you for the info as well. I should have figured you'd know something about this.

Hi, I have some more information for you
Their site doesn't list it....but here's some info
From the Full Moon 2000 mech. packet...---------------------------------------------
Vampire Journals- The Original Motion Picture Score
The native sounds of Transylvania are mixed with hauntingly beautiful classical piano and symphony compositions to capture the mythical land of vampires and the darkest corners of the evil Ash's decaying empire.
$12.95---------------------------------------------
I would call them at 1-877-315-MOON and ask them about it and if it was really ever released. Best of luck to you!

thanks guys! wow, I'll be sure to look into that. Maybe my bro can get it for me for Christmas. Maybe if my mom lets me I can buy it myself
who knows?thanks so much
That and Anastasia (1956) are two soundtracks I really would love to have. I think I'll have my cousin order the Anastasia one online and have my bro order Vampire Journals.
