    does anyone happen to know the name of that song that is played in the begining of the film? The little bird is singing it. aslo, what CD is it available on?

    That would be the Barber of Seville. I forget who the composer is, but it is available on Elmer Bernstein's score album for "Oscar" since that score incorporated that piece.

    The song is called "Largo Al Factotum", from "The Barber of Seville" composed by Gioacchino Rossini.

    The short Robin Williams version of it is contained on Fox Records' original soundtrack album of MS. DOUBTFIRE; yet, more complete version appears on OSCAR (1991) soundtrack by Elmer Bernstein (from Varese Sarabande).
