I am in the tragic process of converting all my old soundtracks from LP and cassettes (so this CD thing worked out after all...who knew?)
Can anyone tell me if the following were ever released on CD and where might one obtain a copy of said scores?
    Hoosiers
    Fletch
    Runaway
    Robocop
The Films of John Wayne Vol 1 & 2

    I am also looking for:
    Roxanne
    Lethal Weapon
    Score for Days of Thunder
    Score for Fly Away Home
    Midnight Run (but who isn't)

I also saw recently a copy of the soundtrack to Buckaroo Banzai (rare unreleased UK import I believe) Is this legit?
Anyone know where to obtain a CD-R of this?

    Thanks for your help
    N

    hey monkeyboy,

    lets see,

Hoosiers - Got a release on cd but is hard to find, its in import, I'm not sure from where.

Fletch - I dont think this one ever had an official cd release, just casset and LP, but you can get the main theme from napster.

Runaway - never heard of it, so i couldnt tell you

Robocop - this did get a varese release a while back but is becoming very hard to find these days, I got my copy at a wharehouse music strangely enough, copies are out there, you'll just have to look for this.

Films of John Wayne - never seen or heard of this

Roxanne - not sure, never was a huge fan of the film

Lethal Weapon - never got an official release I believe, there is a bootleg out there that has most of the score on it, its just hard to find.

Days of thunder - this is a great zimmer score, and it never has gotten an official release, but once again, there is a bootleg of this score and it seems that more and more people have it, I traded for my copy.

Midnight Run - this is another good Goldsmith score, I think it might have had an official release, if not, I know a bootleg must exist, b/c I know people on this board in particular who own this score.

check around on this board, and definately try to trade for these, also check out ebay, there are tons of unreleased and hard to find scores up for auction.

    Thanks for for info
But I'm a little confused, did Elfman or Goldsmith do the score for Midnight Run?

you're right, it is definately Elfman that scored the film, I dont know why I thought it was Goldsmith. I know a copy does exist though.

Yes, Midnight Run did have an official release, just out of print, along with Robocop and Runaway. All of which I have. As Action Guy said, Lethal Weapon, Days Of Thunder, and Fletch never had releases. Just boots. The others I don't know about.

I believe that *some* of the Midnight Run score is on Elfman's "Music For A Darkened Theatre, Volume One" CD. Though it is a compilation, it is all original stuff.

"Hoosiers" was released on That's Entertainment under its UK title, "Best Shot". I got mine six months ago from Footlight. Try Supercollector if Footlight doesn't have them.
