I had heard a rumor that there was an expanded version of The Dark Crystal. Is this the 1992 release on Silva Screen records, or is this a boot? Does anyone have this that would be willing to make a copy for me (tape, cdr) or get me a cd (cdr is fine) of the original soundtrack. I already have a tape of the original and would like to make that a cd if the expanded doesn't exist. I don't mind a bootleg!

Well, the only thing available right now is the isolated score on the DVD which runs 73 minutes. The original LP, as well as the two bootlegs - one coupled with Tony Bank's THE WICKED LADY and the other coupled with LABYRINTH - are the re-recording that was made at the time of the film's release. The music is VERY different as it appears in the film as compared to what was re-recorded.

And why was this score re-recorded but then never released? Or do you mean re-recorded for the LP?How different is the LP score from the Original Soundtrack? I have the version that came with The Labrynth.
Oh and Also, is there a good sounding version of The Last Days of Pompeii? This has to be one of Jones best scores! Is the bootleg from an LP?
