Are you sure about that last one? Is it a special remix or something?

The Peter Gabriel one is right, it's from Gangs of New York.

The other one isn't, the track title is right, but it's performed by a Minneapolis band called Moneypenny. It was recorded specifically for the trailer and no one is sure if it will be on the film's soundtrack or not.

I think it sounds different because of where it starts in the song (if that makes sense)

All my friends hissed at the use of "Song for Siren", but -

    A) I love that song anyway, so I was fine with it

    B) it's actually of the period (it was used in MOONLIGHT MILE, for one thing, a different and the original version albeit)

    C) I thought it did a good job of setting things up on an ethereal, upbeat, dreamy note - before they go sour (ie Leatherface kills people).

Actually the trailer builds nicely. The stuff with the record scratch/thumping then when they use the TX CHAINSAW screech-noise.

The trailer looks nice, sharply put together, has a decent momentum to it --

Unfortunately I feel a TX CHAINSAW remake is not only completely unwarranted, a glossy version of that story is just not the way to go. But oh well...we'll see.

    Jeff --

The first track (female vocal) is "Song for the Siren" (or to Siren, whichever one it is, I don't feel like going back and looking and re posting ).
