I've wondered this for a long time and I know the moment I get the answer I'll feel like a total idiot.

Where did that precussion theme come from that they use in a lot of the action parts in trailers (THE MUMMY, PRINCESS MONONOKE)? It's been bugging me for a long time now.

Someone told me it sounded either like "Striking Distance" or "The Real McCoy," but filmmusic.com doesn't show any of those as being used in "The Mummy." They list "The Mummy" as using music from "Stargate," "Backdraft," "The Phantom," and "Sea of Love." I know it's not from the first three, but I haven't seen "Sea of Love." Perhaps it's from that one? I'd like to know, too.

I know what you're talking about, Ted. I've been wondering about that, too. I'm sorry that I can't help you; I hope someone else can.
By the way, did anyone see "Princess Mononoke?" Great movie. Great score by Joe Hisaishi, too.

That's right. "The Mummy" also had parts of the "Dracula" score listed. Maybe it's from that? I guess I'll have to rent the movies suggested by that list and other people and watch them to see which one the music comes from.

    Fantastic movie/score
The precussion stuff must have been from The Phantom then(mental note, get score) cause ive heard it in a movie(dont remember which specifically)tho i know its not in Backdraft or Stargate, and i havent seen Sea Of Love, so....
Mummy also had Man in the Iron mask at the beginning, so i dont really trust your sources.
