There seems to be two different songs used in the trailer the first being a slightly jazzy vocal and the second a very emtional sting based piece. What are both of these?

The Magnolia teaser and extended trailer both use "Momentum" by Aimee Mann (on the soundtrack). One of Hollywood.com's reviewers asserts that the orchestral music ending the extended trailer was written by Jon Brion and is in the movie (but is not on the soundtrack). The television trailer uses Aimee Mann's "One," also on the soundtrack.

Thank you, hopefully there will be a score release although I have heard that the score is the worst part of the movie in the sense that it is overbearing and repetetive.

Granted this is P.T. Anderson's third film and all, he is in dire need of some great scorin', baby... And that includes his perssonal life (oops).

The songs on the soundtrack are great, and SAVE ME should win best song, but as for scoring the actual movie, well Aimee Mann's songs do great in it, but the other songs bomb, and drag on, yet Magnolia is the best movie this year...PTanderson is amazing, except for boogie Nights, i did not care for that at all...ADIOS!
