    From Lukas:

<<To prevent people from spending money for nothing: we will have a 2CD Poltergeist out later this year. Mike Matessino is going back to the source elements to improve upon the Rhino edition and also add a second disc of alternates and the LP program.

Sign me up! Even though I have the expanded disc, I'll still buy it :-D

    Great!

I was thrilled back in 1997 when I discovered the Rhino CD at my local record shop, but I've always hoped for a remastered edition with better sound quality.

As my good, old friend Dr. Smith used to say, "they keep giving us the same thing over and over in different formats and we keep spending our money". Yep, of course we have extra music on some, but he is basically right. A lot of is the same score in different formats or improved a little. For example look at the 55 scores of Herrmann. How many versions and suites and Cds have we gotten of several of those same scores over and over. Of course I have a lot of them too. LOL.

Frank, I was too when I found it there in the local Hastings store here in Lawrence. And the guy said to me "why are you interested in an old soundtrack that is that old?" I just laughed and said to him "you don't understand about the people who like film music. They are a different breed."
