Lots of horror/scary scores released by the indies in the last month. Does anyone have a particular favorite?

I see the enthusiasm for Child's Play and Night of the Creeps in another thread, but what about those others?

Happy Halloween 2009, or what's left of it!

To what scores are you referring? I probably missed them.

"Trick 'r Treat" for me. Been in love with that score since I got it in early Oct.

Also watched "Drag Me To Hell" with friends last night and Young's score was good there too.

I agree. Douglas Pipes' "Trick r Treat" was just that... a trick of good thematic music and scares, and a treat of a great homage to the horror scores of the past. This movie was fantastic, and a great example of old style independent Halloween themed movie scoring.

I got the Halloween II "30th anniversary" edition, which is confusing, because it came out in 1981, didn't it? We haven't quite reached that 30 year marker yet, and the only additional music were in the form of suites that sounded just like everything that preceeded it in its original release. Hmmm... not too sure what to make of it.
