Good scoop, Brian! While you're at it, do you have any advance on the release for Elfman's Terminator Salvation?

Excellent! This is my most anticipated score of the summer, along with Star Trek and Public Enemies.

I can't wait for this score! I'm foaming at the mouth, too.

I think there will be enough original music to justify the purchase! Besides, I love Da Vinci Code SO much, that a reworking of the themes does not bother me AT ALL. In fact, I'm most excited!

When the female choir comes in right as Mary Magdalene moves into frame right at the end of Chevaliers de Sangreal had to have been the best moment in the Da Vinci Code musically. I'm hoping we get more subtle choirs like that and I am LOVING the violin solos.

Well yeah, they say that during the clip -- but I went in thinking it was going to be something a little new/different..sort of like what we had with parts of The Dark Knight. It sounds like "Chevaliers de Sangreal" on steroids, but I need to give the first album a fresh listen.

Don't get me wrong, this is one of my favorite Zimmer themes!

I am hoping (but doubting) we'll see more music close The Citrine Cross. I love the different versions of it they used in The Da Vinci Code.

It better be! HA! No worries, I get what you're saying, BUT since it is one of your favourite Zimmer themes than one would deduce that you'd want to hear multiple variations on it, rather than just the two sections that are on Da Vinci Code.

To which Hans Zimmer have you been listening for the last 9 years?

Star Trek sounds infinitely more promising that this.
I too love Chevaliers De Sangreal, but for a sequel, it's too little variation. Actually, there is none.

Samples of every track! Sounds amazing.

Especially "God Particle", "Air" and "503". Wow.

Love how he brought back "The Citrine Cross" cue...one of my favorites from the original. This score looks pretty top notch.

Unless you know of a way to preview the entire album for free the answer to that is yes.

How did you come by your conclusion? Do you have the entire album at your disposal or are you basing your opinion on those same 30 second clips?

I didn't come to a conclusion yet. I heard from the clips a few of the themes that return and it sounded promising. But the movie isn't out yet, so I plan on waiting to hear the score until I see the movie (since it was written to go with the movie). Plus I heard the cue on the Apple site which sounded promising as well.

But a reminder here, most of these cues are over 5 minutes long. The clips add up to about 4 and a half minutes out of a CD that's around 55 minutes long... Do you think nine 30 second clips would do the album (or any other album like it) justice? I don't...

I really have to make a compliment into the general direction of Hans Zimmer (who knows who else had his hands in the making of the score ...).

A & D sounds like he actually built on the Da Vinci Code sound in some places.
The main theme is very much the same though.

Biggest complaint about this CD (not sure if it's the same in the film) is that it just peters out at the end. Blah.

    Thanks for the tip.

The track is called "H2O" and it runs for 1:51. The funny thing is, that when you open it in iTunes, it lists the "genre" as "Blues." Umm...I don't think so.

It's a nice track but nothing earth shattering that isn't already on the CD.

Thanks a lot for this information. Just wanted to sign me up, but I'm not going to take spam mails from sony pictures just for 1:51 of Angels&Demons unrealised music.
There is so much more music in the movie, than on the album, that I would not be surprised if we would get a extended album somewhere in the future (TDK, anyone?!).

A funny tidbit...I heard an interview with Ron Howard stating that they had invited folks from the Catholic church to attend some screenings, parties, etc. All were denied and the opposition from the church toward this film series was refreshed.

I was in Milan earlier in this past week, and there was an enormous advertisement for the movie on the side of a building overlooking the Duomo...classic. (In fact, the marketing campaign in Europe - Germany, Italy, Sweden, UK - for the film was impressive relative to the states.)
