Topic: The Dark Knight Limited Edition CD

Ok...so I just bought this a weekend ago. I played it in my cousin's car just fine. Today, I felt like popping it in to my Mac to blast it from the speakers. Unfortunately, the Mac doesn't recognize it as a CD. It says "The Disk you put in was not readable by this computer." (Or something very similar to that).Anyone know what the problem is? Is it DRM?

Is the LE an enhanced CD...open up iTunes and then insert the CD...see if that works. But far as I know, Macs have not has issues with ECDs for a long time now.Also, I did have a CD where my Mac would not see it but my PC did, I replaced the CD with a new one and it worked fine. --Brian

No, it's not an eCD...it says that nowhere on the box or disc.

It could be your cd-rom drive see if it has an updated firmware availible.
Do they not have standard CD players in Middle Earth?[Message edited by TimT on 10-02-2008]

Apple hasn't done a drive firmware update for a few years now. It's not like a PC. If the Mac is within 3-4 years old it should be perfectly fine.As for replacing it, it sucks, but its the only way to get a new one  If you got it from Amazon, I know they are really cool and fast to replace items. Best Buy, as long as you still have the sales slip you should be fine. If replacing the CD doesn't work, then you might have a larger issue. --Brian [Message edited by Crono/Kyp on 10-02-2008]

I recently bought my MacBook Pro in August.I guess I'll have to replace the CD. Good thing I kept the receipt. [Message edited by Aman from Middle-Earth on 10-02-2008]

Come to think of it, I think I remember people haveing problems with the disc skipping on the last track of the LE version.

Yeah, then your MPB is all up to date.I'd try replacing the CD, if that doesn't work, then it might be a drive issue. Should be a simple fix at any Apple Store --Brian
