I was watching this so-sp recent movie on Sci Fi called 100 Million BC. It seemed to have mostly an original score, but there was one piece of music in it in a pursuit/chase scene which was part of the Bugs cue from Starship Troopers. It was familiar and I said "I know this music from somewhere." Then it came to me. "Bugs".J.

Well thats not the first time thats happened. Rememebr Kingdom of Heaven?I also saw the tail end of a Tagalog film from the Philipines. I don't know the name of it but it had some dude chasing some women around a house with a big knife, and it used the Breakaway and End Title music from Alien.

Same happened with the series THE TUDORS. Most of the music was written for the series by Trevor Morris. Some scenes contained music from KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.

Same thing happened with Die Hard (the first one). Also didn't the same thing happen with Troy?

HAHAHA! Strange thread. Anyway, the finale for Die Hard is scored with James Horner's "Resolution" from Aliens. Troy is intact with Horner's replacement score, is it not? I actually can't claim to be an authority on it, as I've seen it only once and will not watch it again.

Which is stupid because they removed the only parts of the score I actually enjoyed from him. But it happened with Man On Fire which uses Abandon and Changing Lanes for the kidnapping scene. There's also one tiny little piece from Courage Under Fire in Pearl Harbor.

No, youre right. It happened a lot in the past especially in low budget films. I saw part of Kingdom of Heaven but didnt notice that in there. One of the very worst ones is in the Legend film with the Goldsmith score, they plastered a cue from Psycho II into it. LOL. Its heard in the scene where he is looking at the giant cymbals.
BTW, I saw Psycho II when it first came out and thought it was a very lame film, but liked Goldsmiths score, especially that great action cue. When I saw it on TV a couple years after that all the cues had been rearranged. The cues were all in different places. Still trying to figure why they did that.

Die Hard also has a cue from John Scott's score for Man on Fire (the other one) in it.
