In our second collaboration with up and coming British composer Laura Rossi (Shooting Shona) (Shooting Shona), we present her hilarious horror comedy score from the new British feature The Cottage starring Andy Serkis, Jennifer Ellison, Reece Shearsmith and Steven O'Donnell.

Laura's orchestral score for the film will remind film music aficionados of the early Danny Elfman and, of course, genre icon Bernard Herrmann. The score makes use of several thematic ideas, and goes from quirky brass band slapstick, via a substantial dose of string avant garde to big and epic heroics.

Laura is currently establishing herself as one of the most interesting new voices in British film music and The Cottage, together with Shooting Shona and the recent London to Brighton, showcases a talented composer who infuses her music with a large dose of inspiration and originality!
