Is it alright to discuss TV music here as well since Michael Giacchino does both film and television?
If you watch "Lost" you know what I'm referring to: the reunion scene during the first segment and then the reprise played during the montage at the very end of the episode.

Reprise (starts 58 seconds in): http://youtube.com/watch?v=q9B6L1eETJ8
Would anyone happen to know if it's available or was it written especially for this episode? I don't think it was used in any of the previous seasons. I'd love to have a copy of it, but I don't want to wait a whole year for the season 4 soundtrack. Thanks!

Unfortunately, you'll probably have to wait a year and then there is no guarantee that piece will be on the CD. I wanted that great crescendo that ended season two but it wasn't on the CD.

Thanks!Yeah, I purchased the season 3 soundtrack over the weekend and was disappointed that the peice played during Charlie's death wasn't included.
It's still a good CD.

It isn't!? There's a whole separate disc for the final episode and the best piece is missing?(Anyway, you might want to be careful with spoilers like these... not everyone has seen S3 yet)

Yeah, it is. On disc 2, "Looking Glass Half Full."

That's strange. I'll have to re-listen (is that a word) to those tracks again. I know his ----- included "Life and Death".Sorry about the spoilers.

BTW, I think "Ta Ta Charlie" is from another scene. Possibly, well, I can't say anything. It's impossible to talk about this show without spoiling.

Ah! You're right. I can't believe I missed it. I've only listen to selected tracks so far; not the whole thing all the way through.I love the drums when ------- is running.
My other favorite tracks are "Shambala", "Juliette is Lost" and "Sweet Expose".
"Flash Forward Flashback" bring back all that suspense of the final scene. I love it.

I was really hoping someone would make a post about the music from last weeks episode. The music was absolutely the best in the entire series and now my all-time favourite. I agree, I dont want to have to wait a year until they release this music. They had better put it on the cd.I really enjoyed the 3rd season cd as well. Really well done,
