Pick 2- (that's all I have the money for!!)- Horton Hears a Who, Spiderwick Chronicles, Prince Caspian, I Am Legend.... or something else?

    I'd say Horton and Caspian.

Sheila, if you can find a Baby: Secret of the Lost Legend... I wouldn't miss out on that one. Thought my instinct tells me that ship has sailed.

The ship is long gone for Baby. Get Gordon's On The Beach.. I was listening to this over the week, what an excellent score.

From your list, I would pick Spiderwick and I Am Legend (for it's simple, but great theme).

    I Am Legend, it's a fantastic score.

Well I just won Horton on eBay and saved about 6.00 than what it would have cost me at Hastings, so I did get Prince Caspian, so I can pick one more. I am thinking I Am Legend, because Spiderwick is 18.99 at my local Barnes & Noble!!
I did forget all about Baby, and Stargate Ark of Truth, too. How is that one?

I think Baby is sold out.. Ark Of Truth is great. Joel Goldsmith did a fantastic job on it. Definitely buy Ark Of Truth from Peter if you plan to get it.

On the TV series, I loved the Asgard theme where Jack first met Thor. Is there anywhere near something like that theme on Ark of Truth?

Not that I heard.. the Ark contains mostly Ori themes (e.g. Latin gibberish, etc) which is just as great and is more representative of Joel's growth beyond his early Stargate scoring. I think if you want to hear something more close to the Asgard theme, you'll have to seek out the Best of Season One disc.

I don't think that theme is on the Best Of Season 1 disc, That happens in Season 2.

"Ark of Truth" is a great disc.

You're right it does happen in season 2. How come they only made the one Stargate SG-1 soundtrack? go figure

If it's not too late to post: I'd say . . . something else. Try Children of Dune by Brian Tyler. I doubt you'd be disappointed. One of my all-time favorites. Also, Kameo: Elements of Power by Steve Burke. Don't let the cover fool you, it's a powerhouse score. Absolutely great!

Studio and rights issues no doubt. Hopefully, Joel's label Freeclyde will help resolve this.
