Okay, the market is starting to teem with Indiana Jones items, everything from $20 leather hats (versus Disney's way-over priced $75), to paper popcorn cups, stills, glassware, and of course, the action figure line. We know the new score is coming on the 20th.Where the heck are the first three expanded scores?
When Lucas released the Special Editions of Star Wars, they released the scores alongside them.
We know there is no plan for Indy special editions, but we'd really love to get our hands on full, offical and authorized scores.
Come on, Lucasfilm! We're waiting.

Concord confirmed they are releasing the scores on CD again later this year. It's unclear however if the releases are expanded or not.

Expanded Indy scores? Lol, if you're over 30, it won't happen in your lifetime, I'm afraid!I'm perfectly content with regular re-issues. I don't have ToD, and LC is in exceedingly bad shape (the disc, NOT the music)!

Gkgyver is just exhibiting some healthy pessimism, keeping his expectations in check. We'll see what happens!
I've got all three in their originally released forms, so if they happen to not get a re-release, well... that'll suck but it won't be the end of the world.Looking forward to the new score, however.

Jeron, I've got you beat: Not only do I own all the scores on CD, but I also own all of them on LP (of course, Raiders is pre-DCC)... AND, AND, I also own the Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull on CD right now! No joke.

I don't mean to showcase pessimism, but an attitude of no expectation. If you wake up in the morning and expect nothing, you'll be the happiest chap in the world.

Everything is a competition, and yes it is cool... HAHA! I joke. (Right now I'm gonna snuff out your Horton Hears A Who mix with a "Fast Cars, Crystals, Skulls, Russians, Whips" mixture of my own design: Check gmail regularly for more Air Miles, chap.)

I think this thread has taken a strange turn.I must console myself with the dippy Indiana Jones trilogy as played by the Prague Philharmonic. God, I'd love to have the original scores again. C'est la vie!

This thread has veered way off course. Indy couldn't even plot it on a map with a helpful red line to show the way.Someone mentioned that Concord Records (Concord Music Group?) claims to be releasing the other scores in the future. I can't even find the present release mentioned on their website. Who can confirm this and show where they saw this?

According to JWFan.comThe Concord Music Group has confirmed that they will reissue the soundtracks to Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana jones and the Last Crusade (as we reported on April 2). The soundtracks will be reissued this fall as part of a four-CD boxed set which will also include the soundtrack for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.
The label hasn't confirmed if the first three scores will be straight reissues of the previously available soundtrack releases, but this is very likely to be the case.posted 05-20-2008 08:45 AM PT (US)

why is it very likely? They want to release expanded ones later?

Hey Peter let us know when you get that box set up. I definitely would like to get that since I don't have the previous Indiana Jones scores on CD and I've been holding off on getting them because of the Concord deal and wouldn't want to have to pay out the ass load for prices on evil-bay.Edit: tj it's been confirmed on Concord's site that it's just a reissue, about 80 minutes worth of music for the previous three scores.

Raiders is 1.2 hours.
Temple of Doom is 40 minutes.
Last Crusade is 58.9 minutes. That's over 160 minutes of music. Not 80.

Ah, 80 minutes per disc. So, that'd mean Temple of Doom and Last Crusade might be getting expansions. Where'd you read this news? That's exciting, if that's true.

I read it on jwfan again don't quote me..we'll find out for sure what the discs will detail when they're released.I hope they are at least 80 minutes each. It would suck if it's just a straight reissue of the original CD's.

Confirmed? I see nothing on concord's site except the score for the new film (which is lamely released in a digipack---why did the Aussies get a jewel case version?)
And nothing baout that on JWFan, 80 min per film would be nice, but I'll take the reissues, but obviouslly everyone is hoping for a SW-like expansion. I also wish that the 4 disc set would be like the SW Anthology--1 for each of the original 3 films, then a bonus disc. It seems like a waste to have to buy Crystal Skull again, but i can't blame them.

It's a straight firm confirmation that it's just a reissue of the original three scores combined with The Crystal Skull as the 4th disc. Now whether or not the other three are full 80 minute CD's not quite sure yet we'll find out more this fall. Either way if you don't want to believe it's a reissue then I give up because no point in trying to tell you other wise. You'll just continue to go on with your head up your ass believing what ever you want to believe and won't listen to anyone else.

Uh, no matter what is on those discs, its going to be a reissue.
The question is whether they are expanded reissues, straight reissues---and whether Raiders is a reissue of the previous expansion or the original album...posted 05-20-2008 06:43 PM PT (US)
