Sad News. He starred in some of my favourite movies with great scores too....Ben Hur, Planet of the Apes, Soylent Green, The Omega Man and yes, I even liked Earthquake. A true legend of the Siver Screen.
His passing is made even more poignant as it has happened just prior to the imminent release of Tadlow's El Cid re-recording.R.I.P. Charlton Heston

I'm not sure I would call it 'sad' as such. The man had a stellar career, led a by most people's standards comfortable life, leaves a legacy of fondly remembered and greatly admired films, and died at the age of 84. What's so sad about that?

For a minute I though his last film appearance was in Tim Burton's "Planet Of The Apes", but that was a year earlier.

I wish Chuck well on his journey beyond the planet of humans and other multi-cellular organsisms. Thanks for the memories."Get your stinkin' paws off me you damned, dirty angels!"
