Photos have been provided to us by the great team in Prague of the scoring sessions for EL CID: http://www.scoringsessions.com/sessions/29794/

I'm looking forward to the recording..... anyone else?

    Enjoy!

A new recording of "El Cid," eh? That's out of left field, but exciting nonetheless!

Not quite out of left field, as this particular re-recording has been discussed at length on other message boards.

You can get more info (including sound clips) from the project here: http://www.pragueorchestras.com/elcid.htm

where have you been? This has been in the works since not long after their Sherlock Holmes was released. I can't wait for it.

Dgold, thanks for those samples. They are great. It has the feel and sound of the original score and right up there with the Graunke original recording. Really good. I listened to all of them and they are performed very well. The brass playing is excellent. Strings very good also. That march cue is outstanding. J. Always loved that march anyway. One of my all-time favorites scores. J.

Well, I know I haven't heard of it until now, which is odd considering that this seems to be a high profile project. I do frequent the forums daily, though. *shrugs*
