Not my personal choice, but your score was certainly one of the best things about Atonement.

ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz.... snort.... snurk... uh? Hhuuh? ZZzzzzzzz... hrhmmm... snort snort.... ZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

This is the first Oscars I preferred to "view" as a winners list in the form of a webpage that took all of 1 minute to read. Man, time is way more valuable these days....

    Anyone else?

Enjoyed the Once song. Happy for those two. The rest was dull.

Agree. Just got the CD last week and I love when the whole score plays nice as a standalone album(i.e. not a ~40 tracks of 40 sec. pieces).

My feelings exactly. I sat through the whole thing last night and regretted the ordeal. Time is way more valuable these days, and this is something that is more and more apparent to me with regards to a whole bunch of things lately: Damn, the only chance I have to even listen to a score now is maybe at dinner.

I've skipped the Oscars the past 5 years. It's all just a waste of time. I used to really look forward to the show, but nowadays I'd much prefer to look at a list of winners the next day and then be done with it. Maybe it's the internet's fault; so much about movies and process and actors, etc. has been demystified by ease-of-access to such a wide scope of information. It's lost its luster.

The only thing I wanted out of the whole affair last night was for 3:10 to bring it home.

    Oh well.
