One thing is for sure, Michael Giacchino was born to win this year's Oscar. If not this year, than next year, when he scores the movie he was born to score: Star Trek!On a more serious note, Erik, is that original music from Michael Giacchino in the Star Trek teaser?

Not sure. I did hear rumors that he was recording some music for the Star Trek trailer... not sure if that was the teaser or the trailer that will come out later in the year.-Erik-

The latter part sounded like a fresh recording of the Courage fanfare. The opening section was nice, too, and hopeful.

I am very happy about Giacchino getting his first Oscar Nomination. Ratatouille fits the movie like a glove and although not my favorite Giacchino score for sure, still he's one of the most talented (if not THE most) younger composers working today with full efforts in Hollywood and greatly deserving all the recognition he can get. Congrats.
