I've not seen any news, but apparently a bunch of the $9.99 Sony/Columbia/Epic/Legacy/whatever CDs have been yanked and will be new in stores again, most for $6.99.First Knight, Armageddon score, Chaplin, Free Willy, We Were Soldiers score, Lion in Winter, Star Trek V, Sneakers, Hook, Legends of the Fall, Forrest Gump score, Age of Innocence....
These are all old titles, so I don't know if there is any hope that this move will help make the $18.98 retail price a dinosaur of the past.
But to pick up First Knight new for $7? OK!

Sweet.
If only I waited a few months to buy LEGENDS OF THE FALL. If you don't have that one, you're missing out on Horner's best score post-80s, IMO. posted 01-21-2008 11:41 AM PT (US) PeterK

I believe the changes are in effect as of Feb 1, odd date being a Friday. I don't know exactly my plan of action... I want to learn a bit more on this - I hate it when labels release the exact same product but with a whole new set of UPC numbers. We'll see how it goes, but I aim to have these available if I can get stock by the Feb 1 date.

The Insider and Dracula for me... Is First Knight really good? I haven't heard it but apparently you guys seem to like it.

I do recommend Free Willy. Even when I was little (I think I was 8 when that movie came out) I really enjoyed the score.
