According to the Lakeshore Records MySpace page, they will be releasing Michael Brooks' score to INTO THE WILD on iTunes this Tuesday, 12/18/07.

Glad to see City of Men getting a CD release. The official site for the film played a lot (28 minutes) of what I'm quite sure was Pinto's score, and while I didn't like it quite as much as Abril Despedaçado or Lord of War I'll certainly be buying it on CD.

Speaking of Pinto, I see that Amazon is now also listing an Import CD of Love in the time of Cholera.

Anyone know anything else about this? The download only release was one of my biggest disappointments of the year, so if the score is finally making its way to CD, I'll be very happy!

Oh, and another Lakeshore release on the way is the soundtrack to Gregory Hoblit's thriller Untraceable on January 22nd. As far as I know Christopher Young is going to be scoring it.

My guess is that, like previous download only New Line Records releases, Silva UK is releasing the CD of LOVE IN THE TIME OF CHOLERA. I'll wait and get the actual CD like I did for THE DEPARTED and LITTLE CHILDREN.

P.S. Thanks for the heads up on the Christopher Young.

No problem, I just wish there was a little more information about the Untraceable soundtrack. 2007 was a pretty tough year to be a Christopher Young fan, at least as far as buying CDs was concerned, so I'm hoping 2008 will bring a few more releases of his scores.

I was thinking Silva might be doing Love in the Time of Cholera too, though I just checked their site and didn't see a listing yet. If the CD is supposed to come out on January 1st, I'd have thought they might have mentioned it by now.

Having not seen Into the Wild, can I assume that Michael Brook's score sounds, you know, "Brook-ish"?
