Piggybacking on Backtothefuturefan's self promotion, I thought I'd plug my own recent YouTube creation - a teaser trailer for the long awaited Indy 4 sequel. Can't wait!

Anyway, I had a wonderful time going back through the music of this franchise and scoring the appropriate quotes from the movies. Williams is masterful...especially with the themes in CRUSADE which desperately needs the full RAIDER'S score treatment...so does TEMPLE, for that matter. I hope the suits look at the success of recent full score treatments like LOTR and the ALIEN DELUXE EDITION and give us fans what we have been so eagerly chomping at the bit for.

The trailer is long at 4 minutes, but, even as an editor by trade, I couldn't cut out of what I built. I thought each moment and artifact/item was so important to the legend of Indy...although, the Paramount/Lucas film logos up front take up 42 seconds...and I loved the Medallion cue from RAIDERS under these logos, so I just let it breathe. It's a deep breath I know.

Anyway, check it out if you want and check out indianajones.com for recently released stills of Harrison decked out in the gear we all have come to know and love.

Fantastic job! Great editing. I like how you made the scene that accompanied each artifact echo in the background. You cut the music really well too.

I have been keeping up on this Indy IV thing for the past year. I've seen lots of fan made trailers and this is by far the most well done. Good job.

    Can't wait for the film.

Thanks BackToTheFutureFan. I didn't mean to steal your YouTube thunder. I meant to post this back over Turkey Break, but just got too busy. I've been watching your stuff, as well, and I like it a lot. It reminds me of the montages they have on the Academy Awards...except yours are for individual movies. It might be nice to see this actually done at the Oscars as tribute to a lot of our finest films...and their music. Anyway, your videos are a nice way to relive them in an abridged melodical version for now.

Anyway, I was hoping this thread would express how much fun I had re-experiencing John Williams Indy scores again and the themes within them. Like the opening to LAST CRUSADE when young Indy runs back home after attaining the Cross of Coranado. Williams weaves the Coranado theme, Henry's theme, the Grail theme and Indy's signature march all within the tapestry of the Circus Train Escape music...it's beautiful...or like when Indy sees an etching of you-know-what on the catacomb walls in Venice and the Ark theme softly plays.

    ELSA: What is that?
INDY: The Ark of the Covenant.
    ELSA: Are you sure?
    INDY: Pretty sure.

    Awesome.

I just wish that they would do these scores the justice they deserve. After all, how many renderings of the STAR WARS scores have come out?

That's one of my favorite scenes in the trilogy. "Indy's Very First Adventure" is a great film sequence and musical piece. The action is classic Indy. I will be putting that scene up very soon. I love that Coranado theme

Hope to see more vids. I subscribed to your channel.
