I saw a preview screening of THE MIST this weekend. I was eager to hear the score by Mark Isham. There's some great scoring in this film but don't expect much. There is very little music in the picture. Darabont was going for this hyper-realistic, documentary feel and I thought that worked brilliantly. What tiny bit of score is there is very subtle sound design. A CD is totally out of the question. There must've been around fifteen minutes of music in the whole film.

That's probably for the best.I still wish that Thomas Newman had the chance to score this. My promo for The Lost Boys needs a neighbor.
I'm greatly looking forward to the film, however.

I wish Newman would've had the chance to score this as well. He's worked VERY well with Darabont in the past.
