I read that Edward Sheamur is no longer attached to THE OTHER BOLEYN GIRL. That's a shame as I was looking forward to what he would do with a period score.

So who would you like to see score the film? My fear is some MV composer will get the job and we'll have a synth/orchestra piece.

My choices to score would be one of the following:

    CHRISTOPHER GUNNING
    ALEXANDRE DESPLAT
    RICHARD RODNEY BENNETT
    HOWARD SHORE
    BARRINGTON PHELOUNG
    GABRIEL YARED
    THOMAS NEWMAN
    ELLIOT GOLDENTHAL

For this one, I say Christopher Gordon.

I second Michael, Gordon needs to have a bigger resume. The guy is amazing and I only own three of his five available scores. He's too good to not work.

Dario Marianelli would be a good choice.

Dario Marianelli for a period drama? There's some original thinking...

    John Barry of course!

....oh yeah, he don't do film no more?!

    In that case....

    Desplat

    Yared

...and, how damn cool would it be if John Williams took on a Historic film like this, I think he'd excel

p.s. Really like the idea of Gordon and Gunning too!

I would raise George Delerue from the dead. I wish he could do it.

There is some one more than able to score this film... none other than Ramin Djawadi! His music would be wildy appropriate for the film...

    Clayton

NP>Mr. Brooks (aka the rejected score to The Number 23)

Djawadi should score everything. His talent makes all other composers obsolete!
