This just in at Varese:

TIN MAN
Original Television Soundtrack

Music Composed by Simon Boswell

Zooey Deschanel
Richard Dreyfuss
Alan Cumming

A SCI-FI CHANNEL ORIGINAL MINI-SERIES

L. Frank Baum’s classic The Wonderful Wizard of Oz is boldly reimagined for the new millennium with a darkly menacing world populated by wicked sisters, cowardly psychics, brain-drained inventors and a menagerie of other fantastical inhabitants.

A fierce tornado rips DG (Zooey Deschanel) from her clock-watching life as a waitress in the Midwest and deposits her with a shocking bump on “the other side.”

The Outer Zone (O.Z.) is a fantastical land filled with wonder but oppressed by dark magic. It has been plunged into a decade-long night of fear by the sorceress Azkadellia (Kathleen Robertson). Heeding the whisper of her own emerging memories, DG realizes that only she can halt Azkadellia’s twisted master plan.

Composer Simon Boswell has delivered a powerfully dramatic score that contrast’s Harold Arlen’s classic, magical impressions of a merry old land called Oz.

This epic six-hour mini-series premieres December 2 on the Sci-Fi Channel.

ALIEN VS. PREDATOR: REQUIEM
Original Motion Picture Soundtrack

Music Composed and Conducted by Brian Tyler (The Fast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift)

In this follow-up to the worldwide hit Alien vs. Predator, the iconic monsters from two of the scariest film franchises ever, wage their most brutal battle yet in an unsuspecting Colorado town.

Visual effects specialists Greg and Colin Strause both make their feature directorial debut with this no-holds-barred monster mash that attempts to set itself apart from the 2004 Paul W.S. Anderson original by serving as a straight up sci-fi horror scare-fest.

The epic score by composer Brian Tyler is truly apocalyptic. It’s a massive, driving, powerful orchestra assault that adds an exciting new opus to the previous franchise scores of Jerry Goldsmith (Alien), Alan Silvestri (Predator, Predator 2), James Horner (Aliens) and Elliot Goldenthal (Alien 3).

20th Century Fox’s Alien vs. Predator: Requiem opens nationwide on over 3000 screens on December 25.

THE TUDORS
Original Television Soundtrack

Music Composed by Trevor Morris

Jonathan Rhys Meyers
Same Neill
Jeremy Northam

Featuring the Emmy Award-Winning Theme by Trevor Morris

Lover. Warrior. Rebel. King. Jonathan Rhys Meyers is Henry VIII as never seen before. The Tudors is the epic new Showtime Original Series that reveals the scandalous life of the stunning young monarch, who ruled his kingdom with ruthless abandon.

With a lust for power and an appetite for love, Henry's affair with Anne Boleyn – and obsession with producing a male heir – changed the institution of marriage, and the world, forever. The Tudors is the untold story of Henry VIII, the beloved tyrant whose reign was marked by treachery, betrayal and intrigue.

The cast also features Sam Neill as Cardinal Thomas Wolsey, Jeremy Northam as Sir Thomas More, Gabrielle Anwar as Princess Margaret, Callum Blue as Knivert, Henry Cavill as Charles Brandon, Henry Czerny as Norfolk, Natalie Dormer as Anne Boleyn, Maria Doyle Kennedy as Queen Katherine, Nick Dunning as Boleyn, and James Frain as Thomas Cromwell.

The colorful score by composer Trevor Morris, evocative of both the period and location, received an Emmy Award for its striking theme.
