Typical response. It's okay, I understand. You know, I'm Big Daddy in this thread. When you back out to the forum and see the thread lists, who's name is beside this one? That's right, mine. So, being the benevolent Big Daddy that I am, freedom remains king, and you're welcome to remember that responding to this thread is totally your choice. I only have one request, and that is... NO GROWN UPS ALLOWED.

    Thank you! Good day.

Man, they should've used the CD I made! It's like this 80 minute continuous suite for all three films. It rocks! Anyone know who I can write to so that I can get them to randomly add my CD into this package? No? Well crap... I'll just play it really loud in hopes that some one in California can hear it... even though I am in Minnesota...

How dare you sir! In Minnesota we have... well the world's largest ball of twine! I guess it rolled here from South Dakota or something... I tried rolling it back but this farmer in long johns chased me with a shotgun. It was a frightning experience...

You should make a movie about it and have Brian Costa or Sean O'Neill score it. How 'bout them apples??

Brian would be healthy choice, since he knows a lot about video games and Stargate, and that expertise would be invaluable. I know A LOT about porcelain dolls and Civil War-era weaponry. We'd need to have Andrew on hand, however, since he knows some actual stuff about MUSIC (he claims to be a "student of life"): He could teach us about current popular trends in indie/mod-rock b.u.l.l.s.h.i.t. Give us an orchestra and you'd hear some magic come out of that.

Nice idea, Sean... however... You're gonna need to run that by my desk for further consideration, seeing as how I'm the President of Everything.

Thanks and looking forward to it!

Alright so how about this... It'll be a computer animated feature in the tradition of 300 (except only the Twine will be real, everything else, including the set and extras will be CG). It'll be a synthesized musical shown from the point of view of the.... wait for it.... TWINE! Yes, it'll be from the Twine's point of view. I smell Oscars... Move out American Beauty, we have begun shooting twine blowing in the wind!

    Clayton

PS> Sean and Brian, if you guys could create a very synthesized version of some of Thomas Newman's work, it'd be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Clayton: Brian and I are working on a theme right now with the Casio, but it's tough work. Here's a transcript from our studio at Remote Control:

    Brian: E flat!
    Sean: F sharp!
    Brian: E flat!!!
    Sean: F sharp m.o.t.h.e.r.f.u.c.k.e.r!!!!
Andrew: Guys, come here, check out this pornography I'm downloading.

Here's the thing.... I'd like some themes that'd it be easy to write lyrics for. I'm in talks with none other than Britney Spears to sing for this movie. I think she brings the wholesome feeling a film like this would need. Plus I've already signed Ashley Simpson because she has talent that would really set a new bar for this project. And here's some lyrics I came up with so far:

    (synth choir) Wind
    (lead singer) It Blows
    (choir) Wind
    (singer) It Blows Hard
    (choir) Wind
    (singer) It Blows Me Away
    (choir) Wind
(singer) I'm a-gatherin in the... (long pause)
(both synth and singer together) WIND!!!

So if you could write some background music for that, it'd be great! This project is... mmm... really taking off guys.

Sorry to burst your bubble, Clayton -- but as the President of Everything, it's my job... no, duty to question WTF you are doing? Since when were you appointed to the film? I know you came up with the idea, but frankly that's all we needed you for. The film is now in the hands of a capable director and producer, of which will remain undisclosed until a future point in time. As for songs and such, Sean already has those bases covered; in fact, he was just telling me how your suggestions are really stressing him out. Please leave the composer alone; Sean, I think it best you not interact on the forum. Clayton, your red stapler is in the basement. You can continue your important work down there.

    Looking forward to it...

    Cheers,

Well I guess at this point, all that's left is for me to ask for at least some sort of credit on the project... Maybe an "Additional Songs Written By" credit that perhaps speeds by in the end credits? I think that'd be a fair deal...

Your credit will read (and the unannounced producer told me this):

Red Stapler handled and operated by: Clayton

Your name will appear it bold red letters. He said this was the best he could do, as the credit you suggested has already been given to Ben Kingsley.

    Cheers,

Unnanounced Producer? I thought Jerry Bruckheimer was producing this with Steven Spielberg. I thought it was their first joint project. But I shall accept my credit with gratitude and grace. Fairwell my little baby project! I shall miss you, you little Twine ball you... By the way, is there any chance of calling this movie "The Twine Baller"? or maybe even, "The Twine Balla"? Just a thought...

The movie's title has been re-appropriated to function as an acronym:

    T.W.I.N.E.
    They Won't Invite Nelly Effers

Indeed, there good stuffs in there it doesn't worth the price at all, imo. It costs the same as RotK CR which has almost four hours of music on CDs and the same remastered one on DVD but the only valuable thing one gets from Pirates set is just a few theme suits and a behind the scenes DVD.

I thought Ryan said they were going to release the complete scores. Guess he was wrong or his source was wrong. Either way for how much they charge for this set you would think they would be the complete scores and not reissued OST's with another CD of unreleased suites and remixes.

Personally, the only thing that bothers me here in the price. As for complete scores: Why bother? There's no material in the films that aren't on the CDs that are worth release. I'm far more happy to hear Zimmer go back and re-record suites for this set. Again, it's the price that's bothersome. Trent, I know you're a completist, so I see your point; I, however, am not, so hearing Zimmer's music fleshed out into suites of presumably the most enticing material (and perhaps unreleased) is more favourable for me.

I guess though if this set isn't limited I will pick it up sometime in the future since I don't own any of the POTC scores yet.

I can see why people would want this if they don't have the scores like myself but if I all ready did have the three scores I wouldn't want to waste $80.00 to get this just because of the unreleased suites and remixes plus that DVD.
