Can't wait to hear the full versions of Storming New Caprica, Dirty Hands and Mandala in the Clouds! (actually, I can't wait to hear all of it)

Good for Bear for recognizing a great talent. I actually remember this episode of Batman, too!

Rummaging through this galactic pile of repetitive percussion and weak orchestrations, I can't help but think that a real Bear must've written this drivel.

That "Deathbed and Maelstrom" cue is one of the best moments of Season 3.

Is nuts_score actually gkgyver!? Brian, I've never seen those two in the same room, have you? Makes you think.

Brian, you're spot on about the "Deathbed" piece ...Man, that is one hell of an emotional scene and the performance there of Leoban's theme on the ehru is quite captivating. I won't spoil anything for anyone but that is a heartbreaking moment on the show and McCreary goes all out on Maelstrom; the action piece "Mandala In The Clouds" is pretty intense, too, leading into "Deathbed."

For me, the most emotional piece is "Kat's Sacrifice" from The Passage: Amazing episode, and that brass theme just pushes it that much higher than many of the other episodes in the latter half of season 3.

I'm dying to hear "Storming New Caprica" in it's entirety! Hands down, that is THE BEST action sequence from ANYTHING movie/TV in recent memory: It clocks in pretty close to 20 minutes; it's pretty astounding!

Also, "Someone To Trust" is quite beautiful. I wish they'd included the lullaby that Baltar insanely sings to himself during that episode and McCreary actually scores to as well for Taking A Break From All Your Worries.

I have to say, those track descriptions were pretty vague and unhelpful from SoundtrackNet. I appreciate their First Listen feature, but the Battlestar Galactica Season 3 First Listen is very poorly written and left without a review; clearly, this was a rush job on their part.

There was a signing at Dark Delicacies in Burbank yesterday. I'd guess that Sebulba was there to pick up his copy.

I wasn't there at night when Bear was there. But I met him at the last signing for Season 2. And yes, really nice guy. Very down to earth. Who really impressed me then was Christopher Young. He was sooooo nice. He shook my hand and I said "It's a pleasure to meet you", then he grabbed my hand with both of his and said, "No, it's a real pleasure to meet you". I know, sounds kinda cheezy, but it was cool. He was so nice to talk to. He was talking with my little boy. It was just really nice.

What's up with this release? Is it only being sold via Amazon? McCreary's site only has a link to Amazon, and La La Land astonishingly has NOTHING on their site (which I find pretty insane at this point in time: Today is the release date!).

Best "Battlestar" music is on the Erich Kunzel CD "Time Warp" via Telarc Digital. I mean wow. That main theme track still thumps my speakers.

I just listened to this disc in its entirety. As with the second season album, it makes a very good listening experience front to back, and there are some moments such as "Violence and Variations," "Kat's Sacrifice" and "Deathbed and Maelstrom" that are just devastating.

Ya know, the only thing I didn't like was the final track.

If I wanted to hear that song, I'd put on one of my Hendrix CDs.

Give me more of the score!!! No songs.

The song is integrated into the score; there are allusions to it in the previous track, and it is a major musical moment with respect to the series and the characters.

You may not like it (your prerogative), but it is appropriate to include. Not having it on the album would be akin to leaving the theme song off of a James Bond soundtrack album.

    Wait a minute...
