"Presenting the original motion picture score to the 20th Century Fox feature film HITMAN, opening in theaters everywhere throughout North American on November 21, 2007. Based on the worldwide hit video game of the same name, HITMAN is a slam-bang, blockbuster action feature starring Timothy Olyphant (LIVE FREE OR DIE HARD, DEADWOOD). The acclaimed composer of the thriller DISTURBIA, Geoff Zanelli, captures all of HITMAN'S excitement with a phenomenal, powerhouse score that chronicles the action-packed saga of Agent 47 (Olyphant), who is ensnared in a deadly political conspiracy. Fox will back the film with an aggressive, national TV/Print/Internet/Theater ad campaign. Mention of soundtrack score CD will be included in print ads for the film."

Geoff Zanelli?! Somewhere, Jesper Kyd's grave is rolling around itself.

And "acclaimed composer" shouldn't proceed his name.

    Acclaim, v. -

    1. To praise enthusiastically and often publicly; applaud.

    2. To acknowledge or declare with enthusiastic approval.

    Where's your problem?

There is a problem if they used it as a verb, because then it's a total mutilation of the English language!

He's terribly mediocre . . . but at least it's the feature film based on the Hitman video games and not something as cherished as Star Trek. At least I won't be seeing Hitman, though I did enjoy the second game and its terrific score.

I think Jesper turned the project down because was busy composing for "Assassin's Creed".

I personally think his score to House of D is pretty good... And his score to Disturbia made the movie pretty tense in some scenes.

Oh, thanks! I've been patiently awaiting that game, and now knowing that Kyd will be composing is certainly a plus.
