Can't wait!
I know I've ordered another CD, too, by John Williams, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was. There are your symptoms for watching too much TV.

Question for Peter: today I got a package, and full of anticipation I openened it.However, it only contained "Seven Years In Tibet". Now, I'm asking this with as much calmness as possible: is everything going according to plans?
Because, you know, it's not like Godzilla will be around forever ...

Tibet likely shipped from Florida warehouse with the other title from the limited warehouse (which i think is in New mexico?) I'm guessing you live on the east, as its usually opposite for me, with the limited stuff arriving faster than the stuff from FL, epsecially when its the $1 shipping media mial.

TJ is vying for a job in MovieMusic customer service!! Ok, if you like being paid in cheese niblets.gk is very very far east, and to add to it, that part of the order shipped out a week before the Godzilla did. No worries, be happy!

GOT IT!The music is great, but the CD case arrived in almost pulverised form. That also happened with the copy of Godzilla Vs. King Kong that I ordered.
You may want to think about adding some bubble sheets to your standard packages.

Yep, I do and have. Even CDs in bubble mailers can be pulverized. One's no better than the other in the testing we did... all depends on the handling. The Tibet CD didn't come in bubble wrap... perhaps a little more cardboard, and it was fine? In the end though, as long as the CDs and inserts are fine, a wrecked case is an easy fix. If you want a replacement case, I can send another in a bubble mailer... but you know the risks. It's likely easier (less frustrating) to find replacements at the nearby audio/video store! Email me at this point if you need anything. Thanks!

Guys (& Ladies),No pressure, but La La Land announced they are down to about 600 copies. I am sure that even after it sells out from them, it will be available elsewhere, but if you wait too long, it will be much more expensive.

Received mine today, not far off from 2 weeks, case shattered unfortunately, but discs fine.
Excellent release, the music is wonderful.Congrats to LaLaLand for another top notch release and glad it's been a good sellar for them. I guessed it would sell well, but not this quickly. Must be a lot of fans out there (or people snapping them up to make a quick buck in the future)

As Peter said cases can easily be replaced. I can't wait to send payment off to Peter for mine on Friday (along with Karate Kid set).If mine comes broken I luckily have a spare 2-CD blank case that I can use for it.

Its a bummer, but I guess thats just part of life.

Just got mine today. Case came out okay, but ugh, the security tape just melted and I'll need the goo-gone remover to get rid of all that residue.posted 08-01-2007 02:38 PM PT (US)

Yeah, the security top is a pet peeve of mine, they still leave residue even if it isn't hot. What I typiucally do is take the tape and stick it back on and off quickly and repeatedly on the residue parts. With a minimum of tenacity, it comes off, leaving no residue. I do that as Goo Gone leaves an odor I don't like, and that's oil that too easily can get on the inlay card.I'm being completely obsessive/compulsive about it, but I prefer anything I own to be in as good a condition as it can be.
It would be great, since the decline of CD sales is rampant these days, that the labels would just do away with the security tape- it serves no purpose but to annoy the consumer. In La La Land's case, I would suspect they do this so that it can be legitmately recognized if the product goes to stores. Better than 96% of all CD's sold in stores have this security tape. The rest are prior to the late 90's when these things started showing up.

I don't mind buying bulk... infact I need to buy some more double disc cases sometime soon because I've got a lot of complete scores I need to burn on CD-R.
I have ordered from www.shop4tech.com and they pack their cases well not one arrived damaged.

I hate that security tape stuff, I guess the advantage to getting a fair amount of overseas releases (Chandos, for one) is they don't have that annoying security tape. Why isnt the shrinkwrap enough?Whats the worst is on DVDs when they have them on like 3 sieds.

I too hate the security tape... sometimes have to use easy off to get the gunk off. Also I hate when they put stickers directly on the fracking case. I mean what the hell? Why can't they always put the stickers on the wrapping so it won't mess up the case???

Yeah, that security tape was pretty annoying. Couldn't get rid of it, but since the case was broken anyway I just took a spare case I had.Great music though! Thanks again to LaLaLand Records and MovieMusic for the quick shipping!
Awesome unreleased tracks on there, and, whatdoyouknow, some fairly funny peculiarities in the music, too.We have an ID4 fanfare (2nd CD one of the last tracks), and a TWINE theme precurser (from the pipe track of the TWINE soundtrack)...
Love the CDs..

By the way my case came in pristine condition. That's weird that some people's cases broke apart during shipping.Oh and I also got the Karate Kid set from him too.

Perhaps the answer to "To be broken, or not to be broken..." comes down to how well each of you have treated your mailperson this past year. Thanks for the orders! You've already heard me say that.... but this is my board and I can do what I want. So there!
