Get The Thin Red Line first. It really is a surprising effort by Zimmer.

    Other than that, I recommend:

    - Beyond Rangoon

    - Muppet Treasure Island (uh, just skip the first few tracks)

If you like The Holiday, I'd try out Spanglish. I also really enjoy his scor to Tears of the Sun... of course that's way different than Spanglish...

NP>August Rush samples which are fantastic!

The Thin Red Line first of all.

Beyond Rangoon and Hannibal are also quite good as well (...for Zimmer ), but the latter has most of its best tracks ruined by disturbing voice-overs from none other than Anthony "Dr. Lecter" Hopkins himself. It's still probably worth picking up if you can, though.

How is pacific Heights? I have never heard it.
My top 5 votes definately go for:
    Thin Red Line
    Drop Zone
    Hannibal
    Prince of Egypt
Black Rain - This really is a very important score historically as it is the score credited with starting the Zimmer approach to scoring action movies

So did you decide to take any of these suggestions? What do you think?

Sorry guys, yes I have taken the suggestions and thank you for all of the help. I do plan on picking up the remainder of scores to complete my collection. Is it also worth picking up Prince of Egypt? I know there isn't alot of score.

I think Prince of Egypt is worth it. The Burning bush track is exquisite. and it is also important because of the sheer enormity of the project. I read some article talkinf about Zimmer nearly having a meltdow during the mixing process because there were like 200 tracks or something. Anyone care to be more specific on this matter? I do not really remember but would love to be reminded.
    np - Out of Africa

I'm surprised none of you mentioned The Power of One! This is at the top of my Zimmer list. A must have, in my book.

The thing about The Power of One is that %90 percent of the music in the film isn't Zimmer's. Its his arrangments on preexisting folksongs and hymns. right?
