Interesting concept, Camillu. I like this kind of thing because it shows a small sample of peoples' arc of interest. It's a bit more beefier than that ol' "NP" thing we used to do a lot.Do ipods or computer systems come with built in music reporting? It would be neat to output some listening habits without much effort.

DVD was released a week or so ago, so the same rigamoroll happens all over again: a lot of people are viewing the CD detail page likely because they want to know if the damned Spiderbait song is on there.

Here's my iTunes "Last Played" feature that says these are my last 10 favourite albums to hear (not all that accurate, because I don't have all my music on my computer and still use CDs more often than not):01. Michael Kamen, Die Hard With A Vengeance
02. Hans Zimmer, Mission: Impossible 2
03. John Ottman, Superman Returns
04. Joel Goldsmith, Call Of Duty 3
05. Hans Zimmer, The Ring
06. Marco Beltrami, Live Free Or Die Hard
07. Various Artists, Miami Vice [2006]
08. Harry Gregson-Williams and John Powell, Chicken Run
09. Dave Grusin, The Goonies
THE 10 SPOT: John Williams, War Of The Worldsposted 06-25-2007 11:05 AM PT (US)

I can't tell if you're being serious or not, but yes, iTunes does.

I understand that ipods store any kind of files (and that 95% of music on them is not from itunes!). I perceived itunes was only a store to buy/download itunes music, but if it's also a freakin player that will play anything, just one more media player to choose from. That said, if itunes has a playlist thing, that would mean windows media player and realplayer and others would have a similar feature? It's intriguing. While it appears to be difficult to output your listening habits from your player of choice, you can bet every button click in the itunes player is being sent back to Apple behind the scenes. Of course it is! Same for any other big-name player.

Dont know about Windows or Real. I used to use iTunes but ever since I updaded to a new version they dont let me do a random shuffle within a playlist, when I clcik random it automatically organizes a playlist. So I use winamp if I know what I want to listen to, like a new disc that wasa just ripped or something. Winamp doesn't store that data I dont believe. When you install it you can consent to anonymous data usage or wahtever, but I have no idea what they are tracking.

The Goonies is legit and no, I didn't buy it off iTunes (their store is a joke; I used to buy a few tracks off of them, but stopped long ago given the price and quality of the rips they use, it's a bunch of B.S.). I have an eMac, so from what I can tell iTunes is the best music player around for Apple; not sure about Windows programs like Windows Media or Real Player (they both kinda' suck on Mac). I used to use WinAmp but that was on System 9 like 100 years ago.
